Dear Trick or Treater:
Hello! Thank you for making something for me! I don't know what fandom brought us together, but I hope I've provided plenty of helpful information. This letter is still under construction, but all promptdetails should be complete. Some of my prompts might be more involved than others, but I guarantee it's not a sign that I want one more than the other, so don't read anything into it. Also, I recognize that there are some big ideas here that might not be suitable for 300 words. Rest assured that I would absolutely be happy with just a short scene with a smattering of context in the author's note. And you also won't disappoint me in the slightest if you want to just latch on to something from my likes list (to come. or see signup) and go your own way. There are a few prompts that have marked fandom/pairing-specific DNWs or DNW exceptions, so do keep an eye out for those.

My requests are for fic, but if there are any treaters inspired to make art, I would happily accept it for any prompt.

CROSSOVER FANDOM
Steve Harrington (Stranger Things) & The Losers Club (It-Muschietti): What if Steve found his calling in teaching/coaching and wound up in Derry for his first job in 1989, just as Pennywise is starting its rampage. I'd like to see him interacting with any or all of the Losers, either in his capacity as a teacher or coach or as a protector. Let's just say his time in The Upside Down left him with a "gift" of being able to see Pennywise or somesuch, and pretend like Richie Tozier is not a clone of Mike Wheeler.

Pennywise (It-Muscietti) & Steve Harrington (Stranger Things): Maybe it's got something to do with everything he saw in Hawkins. Maybe it's something else, but for whatever reason, Steve can see Pennywise and the things it does. What does he see? What does Pennywise think of this random grown-up who can see him, when he's been exclusively the terror of the pre-teen sect for centuries?

Sam Beckett (Quantum Leap 89) & Ben Song (Quantum Leap 22): Leaping isn't easy and Ben isn't very good at disguising himself when it comes to talking to holograms. Like at all. I just think it would be funny if Sam and Ben's paths kept crossing, and Sam can tell he's a leaper but stays out of his business until he just CAN'T anymore. Like, excuse yourself to a bathroom. Pick up a telephone. Do anything but have a full on conversation with the air six feet from other people.

Sam Beckett (Quantum Leap 89) & Janis Calavicci (Quantum Leap 22): Sam knows his work as a leaper is of vital importance, which is also why he knows he can't go home. Because if sees Al or Donna or Sammie Jo, he knows he won't be able to leave again. So it breaks his heart to know they miss him and never stopped looking. It shatters when Al is gone. But maybe Janis is someone he can talk to. Maybe Janis is someone he can help. Or she him.

Sarah Connor (Terminator) & John Connor (Terminator) & John Kimble (Kindergarten Cop): I'm not terribly fussed about exactly matching timelines (though, on its face ages do line up) or whether Sarah's supposed to be off in Nicaragua or wherever the hell, I just want John Connor to be a part of John Kimble's kindergarten class. Is it set during the KC movie and he's really undercover trying to catch his own bad guy? Is it after, and he's retired from the force after deciding he actually liked teaching little kids? Don't know; don't care; I just want Sarah to pick her son up from school or whatever and see what sure looks like Terminator being chummy with her son. Do they run? Do they fight? Do they end up talking? Does Kimble believe? How does he get on with John before Sarah even shows up?
++Fandom-specific DNW: While this is admittedly kind of a cracky concept, I'd like to see it taken seriously.

Steve Rogers (MCU) & Johnny Storm & Sue Storm (Fantastic Four 2000s): Whether you buy into the She-Hulk story of Steve's first time being on a USO tour or have your own headcanon (I'm quite partial to Bucky secretly buying Scrawny Steve a date), I just want Steve to have grandchildren he didn't know about - and maybe they didn't even know until the Johnny & Steve resemblance is a little too undeniable. How's it work out?

MANIFEST
Angelina Meyer/Cal Stone: If my memory and math is right (and if it's not, let's pretend like it is), after the season four time skip Cal mentally should be around 16, maybe 17 (looking early 20s). Which I think is a fine age for an inadvisable fucked up relationship with an older (in her 20s) woman. I can absolutely see Angelina believing that they were special and destined by the divine to be together and raise the savior baby (either Eden or their own if it's after Eden's back at home). But has Cal bought into her delusion? Does he believe it, too? Or does he know she's unhinged, but even that is better than what he was experiencing back home with Ben? Or did he embark on a journey and a ruse to get Eden back so that Ben would love him again?

Ben Stone & Cal Stone: I'm really into season four Ben and Cal and all the angst it entails. Manifest did such a good job of showing Ben absolutely gutted and lost in a grief spiral as he puts everything but finding Eden on the backburner, including the kids he still has. And he was so broken he couldn't even really see that he was doing it...until that moment at the compound when he thought Cal had been caught in an explosion. The look on his face was just immediate regret, fear and heartbreak. But even that wasn't enough to really fix things. Even after THAT they were still about to fall apart again (over Angelina, even), and it wasn't until Cal's cancer -- the thing that had been Ben's biggest fear for so much of Cal's life -- came back that they were able to really start to mend. But because it's a big show with a big cast, we didn't actually get to see a lot of it. So I'd like to see more of that. It doesn't have to be nice and pretty -- sometimes a fix starts with a break, after all. Or maybe a little more from those last days, when they've fixed things and Cal's decided to make a sacrifice for the passengers. How does Ben handle that when he's not putting on a brave face?

Cal Stone & Jared Vasquez OR Zeke Landon & Cal Stone: The general idea behind these two requests is the same - Cal and the other male role models in his life when his dad was acting largely absent and leaving Cal to feel llike he blamed him for Grace's death and Eden's kidnapping. How do they help him when he needs it? Who teaches him to shave or gets him out of the house for a little while or comforts him when he's hurting? We've seen the closeness that Cal and Zeke have, which certainly lends itself to these types of stories but I also like the different dynamic you get with Jared, who has a little more distance but still cares about him. As far as Zeke is concerned, Cal's family. Jared may not feel that tight of a bond, but there was a time when he was about to part of Cal's family, too. That has to come with more closeness than just some rando kid on the street. So, explore more with Cal and either of those men, and I'd be happy. I know the show made bones about Olive taking on the burden of being a mother to her twin little brother, but that's never really sat well with me and I'd like to see these men (Michaela, too, if you want) being a more active participant in Cal's life in that first half of season 4.

Cal Stone & Eden Stone: Cal's her big brother, and I want more of that in general, but if you want to AU it where he end up with Angelina and Eden, either to join them for real or rescue Eden, he could also be the closest thing to a father figure she has for a while.

Cal Stone: If it's not obvious yet, I'm nuts for season 4 Cal Stone. He's got all the angst with Ben, guilt over all the bad things that have happened, and he's still navigating a body that aged about 5 years overnight. Get in his head.

MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE
Nebula & Tony Stark: One of the most disappointing things about Endgame to me was that we got those amazing spaceship moments between Tony and Nebula and then ... nothing once they're on Earth. And the only way I can reconcile what looks an awful lot like him abandoning her is if she's the one who gives him the nudge/"permission" to leave and go find happiness wherever and however he can with Pepper. Maybe explore that. Or him introducing her to what's left of the world. Or their reunion as they all come back to plan the time heist.

Scott Lang: Paul Rudd and Emma Furhmann brought all the feels when Scott and Cassie first meet after the snap. And then...Scott's in New York stealing Nat's peanut butter sandwich and plotting a time heist. I would like a little more time to ruminate on all the time he's missed with his daughter and the young woman she's managed to become anyway.

Cassie Lang & Scott Lang: More of them spending time together in or around the Endgame/Quantumania era please. There's just so much potential for Scott getting to know her again. Who raised her during the blip? Did her mom and/or Paxton make it? Or did she slip through the cracks and raise herself? Once things get back to normal, is there any tension as Scott tries to assume more of a fatherly role that's maybe more based on the child he knew and not the near-adult who didn't have him around for a chunk of her childhood and all of her adolescence to date?
++Pairing-specific DNW: Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man 3) is not my favorite version of Cassie Lang. She just brought a little too much teenage rebellion and pigheadedness into it for my taste. If she and Scott butt heads, I would like it to be because she's not a little girl anymore, not because she's kind of a brat.
--DNW Exception: While I am generally opposed to emotionally comforting back rubs and circles, I could find it acceptable for Scott & Cassie. Whether she's here for it because she spent years missing that sort of fatherly affection or she's not into it because she's not used to it anymore or she has complex feelings about Scott never being around and she doesn't need/want that from him, I could really enjoy either direction.

Peter Quill: More of him on Earth after Guardians 3, please.

Steve Rogers/Original Male Character: I really like the idea of depressed Steve during the Endgame blip finding sparks of joy in human connection. I don't mean jumping into bed for meaningless sex with anyone who looks his way, but rather not taking anything for granted. If there's some chemistry and attraction and they're both on the same page of not being relationship-ready, why not find some comfort and solace in a world that's turned to dust? (And maybe that's all it is, and that's fine, or maybe it becomes something more.) ** This pairing can be an exception to the noncanon established relationship DNW **
++Pairing-specific DNW:: Earnest conversations about safe gay sex and relationships. I don't think Steve needs it, because I don't think it's a particularly new experience for him; it's just an aspect of himself that he's never advertised or really indulged since skipping ahead to the 21st century. But with half the world gone, life's too short and miserable to hold back on a chance to feel something

PSYCH
Burton "Gus" Guster & Henry Spencer: In some of the flashbacks we've seen, it's obvious that Henry admires Gus's work ethic. There's a scene with a bike race that specifically comes to mind, though I can't remember the episode. I'd like to explore younger Henry's relationship with kid Gus. Is he grateful for the boy that by all rights should be a positive influence on his own reckless kid? Does he look out for Gus at all? Encourage him? Tell him that it's okay to not always follow Shawn on whatever scheme he's dreamed up if he doesn't want to? How does Gus feel about Henry?

Carlton Lassiter & Nora Lassiter & Shawn Spencer: I just think it would be delightful if Nora were a Shawn-esque silly little chaos girl who is everything Lassie unprepared for but can't help but love. But if he can hand her off to Spencer for a playdate and enjoy a coffee on a park bench while they go wild, all the better.

STRANGER THINGS
Steve Harrington: I really want Steve to find some purpose that isn't dead-end jobs. Scoops Ahoy was fine for a summer but for as much as I enjoyed Robin and Steve working at the video store, there's a part of me that wants to see him do more. Maybe after Hopper goes missing he joins the Hawkins police. Or he picks up a job as a school bus driver/part time middle school basketball coach that can grow into something bigger. Or maybe he's starting classes at Hawkins Community College, determined to do better and go farther than he did before fizzling out after high school.

Steve Harrington & Dustin Henderson: Eddie kind of usurped Steve a little bit as Dustin's main non-Party cool-guy friend in season 4. But with Eddie gone, will Dustin rekindle his friendship with Steve? How can Steve provide comfort and help him deal with the loss?

Lucas Sinclair: Mostly interested in season 4 Lucas. His decision to play basketball kind of sets him apart from the rest of The Party, and that interests me, as do his feelings for Max, particularly after Vecna's attack.

Martin Brenner & Jim Hopper: I want them to talk about Eleven, particularly after Eleven is living with Hopper. Maybe Brenner is a ghost or a dream or a manifestation of Hopper's own doubts and insecurities, or a mental projection from Kali, I don't know. But what do they have to say to and about each other's raising of Eleven.

SUPERMAN & LOIS
Jon-El: I'm really interested in the idea of Jon-El infiltrating the Kent family in season 2. Did he secretly merge with Jon? Is he holding him prisoner somewhere? Guess it depends on whether you're doing a trick or a treat. What's it like trying to impersonate powerless Jon Kent? Also, I don't think it's controversial to say that the Kents are a little more loving and a lot more grounded than the Els. How does he deal with that; how does it affect him? On the other hand, this is also a time where Jon and Clark were really struggling in their relationship. Does Jon-El see shades of his relationship with Kal-El? Would he stand up to Clark in ways Jon never could?

Jon-El & Clark Kent & Jordan Kent & Lois Lane: Similar to the Jon-El tag, I'm really interested in Jon-El infiltrating the Kent family as a Jon impersonator. But where the solo tag is a better fit for how he thinks and feels about it, this is a little more fitting for what he does and how the other characters relate to "Jon" (and potentially Jon-El). Trick or Treat: Is there good still in Jon-El that gets rekindled with the Kents, or is he just out to destroy them?

Clark Kent: There are a couple different things I'm interested in here:

1. I wasn't particularly pleased with the Superman & Lois finale, particularly with just how sparse it was on what it was like for Clark to slowly lose his powers and to pass the superhero torch to his sons and the Ironses. Does he just hand things over and go about that farm life or is there still a role for him as an elder statesman/advisor/mentor sort? If you want to include the new heroes, season one had Clark make a big deal about the DoD's Supermen of America not earning the right to wear the House of El crest. Maybe play with that now that Jordan, Jon, John Henry and Natalie have earned it.

2. Season 2 is maybe my favorite season, but it's mostly for all of the potential had versus what it did with it, particularly when it comes to Clark getting back from Bizzaro World and struggling so hard with Jon. Where' s his head at when he learns Jon has used XK to gain artificial powers and is accused of dealing it? Does he look at his "always happy, always smiling good kid" is becoming and see Jon-El? How does that affect him? I always kind of felt like Jon's actions here - at least to the point Clark understood them - would feel like a huge betrayal that shatters everything he thought he knew about Jon, leading to this season of mostly unexplored distrust. I'd like to see that explored or also I'm into the idea of Clark learning from the mistakes of Bizarro and not letting those feelings consume him and instead deciding he wants to fix things.

Jon-El & Clark Kent: I feel like the show really wanted to do something with this pairing and then just...didn't. Particularly after Jon-El is a DoD prisoner, the opportunity is there for Clark to be trying to get information about Ally Allston and her plans to merge the universes and for Jon-El to use that opportunity to taunt him about Jon. Jon's not in a very good place at that point. He's been abusing XK to regain his edge at football, got accused of being a dealer and kicked off the team and out of school and his relationship with Clark is in the toilet. Meanwhile, Jon-El has his own experiences with Bizarro-Kal that shaped him AND he has a direct link to what Jon is thinking/feeling/doing. How many ways could he use that to get under Clark's skin? What secrets does he know that Clark doesn't? What seeds could he plant? And how would Clark use that? Would it increase the distrust he already has in Jon at this point or would it increase his drive to understand Jon more and fix things so that his son doesn't turn out like this evil kid who wears his face? Does he see his own failures with Jon through Kal's failures with Jon-El?

Alternately, I wouldn't mind a redemption story, where Clark convinces Jon-El that he doesn't have to be this person, and after helping defeat Ally he goes home to be the new Superman of Bizzaro World.
++Fandom-specific DNW: Straight-up Clark-bashing. That's not to say criticism isn't deserved. Clark himself IS a big part of the reason why his and Jon's relationship is in such a bad place, but I don't think Clark is a bad, abusive father who hates his normal son and loves his super-son (not that I'm opposed to Jon FEELING that way). But I do think Clark is incredibly blind to who Jonathan is. And it's evident in the pilot, even, because NOBODY is always happy and always smiling. But that was all Clark saw for 15 years -- his good, happy, resilient kid -- until he was forced to see a new, troubling side of him, and it was such a betrayal of faith that now it's all he can see in Jon, and he's handling it very badly (while also being a little preoccupied trying to save two whole-ass worlds because he's SUPERMAN).

Jon-El & Jon Kent: So, maybe starting a big fight and trying to force Jon to merge with him wasn't the best idea Jon-El has ever had. What if he tries again, this time trying to convince Jon that it's something he WANTS to do. That if they merge, Jon can have powers and respect and be beloved and not have to be the normal, weak, afraid one anymore. Maybe Jon-El takes Jon flying, which is something at that point nobody else in his superfamily seems to have ever done, and it's exhilarating. I also think it's easy to see Jon and Jon-El as potentially being the same people who were made different by circumstance. That combined with the mental link of being doppelgangers means Jon-El can potentially know *everything* about Jon. What scares him. What motivates him. All his secrets, even things Jon is too afraid to say out loud. How does he use that?

Alternately, what if Jon's innate goodness, nurtured by what had been a generally good family life up until recent times is reflected back at Jon-El and is able to pull him out of the darkness? Or, what if they DO merge, but it ends up being Jon-El's sacrifice for all the bad he's done to give Jon powers to help fight Ally?

Jon-El/Jon Kent: Similar to Jon & Jon-El above, being seduced by darkness is a pretty common trope. But what if in the case of Jon/Jon-El, it's literal. I headcanon Jon as bi but deeply in the closet, too afraid to tell people or act on his crushes (*cough*Tag Harris*cough*). And Jon-El does not strike me as the sort of person who would have any such reservations at this point in time. What if he opens that door for Jon? Is his first same-sex kiss? The first time where he gets really intimate with *anyone* and it's not horrifically interrupted by his mother? And because I realize this could be a problematic ask, using LGBTQ sexuality as a manipulation point, I'm also fine if, along the way Jon-El realizes just how afraid of everything Jon is, remembers when he felt that way too, and it just becomes about wanting to help Jon in a way he wished someone had been there for him, so that he didn't have to go darkside to gain confidence and get out of Kal's shadow.
++Pairing specific DNW: Getting caught. Coming out to the family. Anal sex.

Tag Harris/Jon Kent: Jon Kent/Tag Harris: I know the canon basis for them is thin, but I love them so much. Injuries, assy teens and a terrible coach made football outcasts of them in season one, and they were maybe just starting to be friends before Tag's powers became a thing. I would like for them to have not completely lost contact. I like the idea of Tag being Jon's bi awakening, Jon being someone who doesn't treat Tag differently because of his power, and Tag being someone that can give Jon a different perspective on power. We know he resents Jordan and Clark's abilities, and I think part of that is because he's so locked out of them. I think we've only seen superspeed for Tag on the show, but he is part of a government experiment program now; maybe they've adapted the XK to give him baby versions of other powers. Tag and Jonathan could be the first ones who try to roast marshmallows with his heat vision (successfully or not). Or maybe Tag's the first one to take Jon flying (since we've certainly never seen it from Clark), even if it's just floating at tree level in the woods. IDK if this is making any sense, but I'd like to see them enjoy Tag's sharing of his power.

I also like the idea of Tag having his own ELT-like device that he gives Jon (Maybe hidden in a watch or a piece of jewelry to show just how different and modern they are). Mainly because I've recently been introduced to some Lauren Daigle songs, and Rescue just speaks to me as an anthem for them when Jon seems so lost and broken down and disappointed by his life and family.

TERMINATOR MOVIES
John Connor & Kyle Reese: I'm really interested in John's relationship with Kyle. Because on one hand, the closest thing John ever had to father figure was a Terminator. So being able to meet his father in the future must be special or meaningful in some way. On the other, based on Terminator Salvation or Terminator Genisys, his father is either a literal child or a teenager. Maybe a young a adult, but either way, still much younger than John himself. If he's a kid (Genisys), John has to protect, train and basically raise him. How's that go? Does the line between Kyle being his father and Kyle feeling almost like his de facto son ever get blurred? If he's older (Salvation), John still has to befriend and train him, and I wonder if John ever looks at him and can see glimpses of what Kyle might have been like as a father if that were the life they'd got to live. Can he see the sort of man Kyle would have been for Sarah if he hadn't been killed? How does John knowing that he's going to send Kyle to his death affect their relationship? Or does he always hope for a different outcome?

Kate Brewster: One of the few good things to come out of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines was the idea that John had been killed in the future, and Kate reprogrammed the T-800 that did it and sends it back to protect them. I want to see more of her in the aftermath of John's death. Grieving. Taking charge. Making that decision.

Sarah Connor/Kyle Reese: Go back to the original Terminator and don't kill Kyle. Then show me their life together at any point between that night in 1984 and 2029. Like literally, any point will do. Kyle having a chance to experience and enjoy a world that isn't in ruin (date night?). Pregnant Sarah. Training Sarah. John's birth. Any birthday or holidays. Trying to stop Judgment Day from ever happening together. Training John together, just in case. Aug. 29, 1997 (it passing peacefully or not). Growing old together. Facing illnesses. Facing Skynet. Seriously, I just want more of them at any point.

Bobby Brown & Robby Keene: Ever since Johnny didn't make it to see Robby when he was in juvie, I've wanted a canon divergence where Bobby kept coming back and was a stable, nonjudgmental figure in Robby's life. Bobby doesn't abandon him like his mom and dad or fly off the handle and cut him loose whenever he screws up like Daniel. He's just there, helping him down a better path and being someone he can trust when he doesn't trust anyone else. And maybe, Robby helps Bobby rediscover his own love of karate, and Bobby mentors Robby instead of Kreese, and they use it as a healthy outlet for aggression and a gateway to peace and mindfulness, not as an identity in and of itself.

Aisha Robinson & Johnny Lawrence: I love that Johnny always calls Aisha "Miss Robinson," and I feel like if it were the sort of thing he had to be told to do, we would have seen him being told. So I feel like it's one part respect for her and one part taking his role as an actual teacher of kids seriously (even if he sometimes reverts back to more juvenile tendencies), which is largely uncommented on growth for someone like Johnny. And Aisha was so upset when she lost in the tournament that clearly karate means something to her like it did for Johnny. And I just want more of them.

++Fandom-specific DNW: While this is admittedly kind of a cracky concept, I'd like to see it taken seriously.

Jarod (The Pretender) & The Dunphy Family (Modern Family): So, the years don't match up at all, but let's pretend like they do so that series-era Jarod (preferably seasons 1 or 2) can show up at the Dunphy door, having discovered Phil, a brother who was successfully fettered out to a new family for his own safety. I'm not too fussed over where in Modern Family canon this would fall or with whom Jarod interacts -- I think they'd all be neat! -- so just go with what moves you. Bringing in the broader Modern Family is fine, too, if you want.

Sam Beckett (Quantum Leap 89) & Ben Song (Quantum Leap 22): Leaping isn't easy and Ben isn't very good at disguising himself when it comes to talking to holograms. Like at all. I just think it would be funny if Sam and Ben's paths kept crossing, and Sam can tell he's a leaper but stays out of his business until he just CAN'T anymore. Like, excuse yourself to a bathroom. Pick up a telephone. Do anything but have a full on conversation with the air six feet from other people.

Sam Beckett (Quantum Leap 89) & Janis Calavicci (Quantum Leap 22): Sam knows his work as a leaper is of vital importance, which is also why he knows he can't go home. Because if sees Al or Donna or Sammie Jo, he knows he won't be able to leave again. So it breaks his heart to know they miss him and never stopped looking. It shatters when Al is gone. But maybe Janis is someone he can talk to. Maybe Janis is someone he can help. Or she him.

Sam Beckett (Quantum Leap 89) & Project Quantum Leap Team QL22): I just really like the idea of Sam interacting with the new crew. Maybe he's leaping into them to leave breadcrumbs on getting Ben home and they start to realize their missing time and breakthroughs are adding up to something fishy. Or he leaps into a janitor or something to have an actual talk. What kind of insights can he offer after decades of leaping? (And it doesn't necessarily have to be PQL rekated if you have some personal notes that seem like good hits.)

Abe Morgan & Henry Morgan: I'm interested in basically anything with these two. From as light and fluffy as celebrating the holidays to as somber as facing Abe's mortality, I just want more, because their relationship is such an interesting dynamic. Henry has a couple lifetimes worth of experience on Abe, but Abe has life experiences that Henry never will, and there's just so much room to explore a truly unique father-son relationship.

Angelina Meyer/Cal Stone OR Angelina/Cal & Eden: If my memory and math is right (and if it's not, let's pretend like it is), after the season four time skip Cal mentally should be around 16, maybe 17 (looking early 20s). Which I think is a fine age for an inadvisable fucked up relationship with an older (in her 20s) woman. I can absolutely see Angelina believing that they were special and destined by the divine to be together and raise the savior baby (either Eden or their own if it's after she's back at home). But has Cal bought into her delusion? Does he believe it, too? Or does he know she's unhinged, but even that is better than what he was experiencing back home with Ben? Or did he embark on a journey and a ruse to get Eden back so that Ben would love him again?

Ben Stone & Cal Stone: I'm really into season four Ben and Cal and all the angst it entails. Manifest did such a good job of showing Ben absolutely gutted and lost in a grief spiral as he puts everything but finding Eden on the backburner, including the kids he still has. And he was so broken he couldn't even really see that he was doing it...until that moment at the compound when he thought Cal had been caught in an explosion. The look on his face was just immediate regret, fear and heartbreak. But even that wasn't enough to really fix things. Even after THAT they were still about to fall apart again (over Angelina, even), and it wasn't until Cal's cancer -- the thing that had been Ben's biggest fear for so much of Cal's life -- came back that they were able to really start to mend. But because it's a big show with a big cast, we didn't actually get to see a lot of it. So I'd like to see more of that. It doesn't have to be nice and pretty -- sometimes a fix starts with a break, after all. Or maybe a little more from those last days, when they've fixed things and Cal's decided to make a sacrifice for the passengers. How does Ben handle that when he's not putting on a brave face?

Cal Stone & Jared Vasquez OR Zeke Landon & Cal Stone: The general idea behind these two requests is the same - Cal and the other male role models in his life when his dad was acting largely absent. How do they help him when he needs it? Who teaches him to shave or gets him out of the house for a little while or comforts him when he's hurting? We've seen the closeness that Cal and Zeke have, which certainly lends itself to these types of stories but I also like the different dynamic you get with Jared, who has a little more distance but still cares about him. As far as Zeke is concerned, Cal's family. Jared may not feel that tight of a bond, but there was a time when he was about to part of Cal's family, too. That has to come with more closeness than just some rando kid on the street. So, explore more with Cal and either of those men, and I'd be happy. I know the show made bones about Olive taking on the burden of being a mother to her twin little brother, but that's never really sat well with me and I'd like to see these men (Michaela, too, if you want) being a more active participant in Cal's life in that first half of season 4.

Nebula & Tony Stark: We didn't really see Nebula and Tony interact at all once they got to Earth in Endgame, and I think that's something that needs correcting. I really like the idea of Nebula pushing Tony into his happy life with Pepper. Almost, giving him permission after what they survived and everything he's done. Or maybe a reunion while they're planning the time heist.

Cassie Lang & Scott Lang: More of them spending time together in or around the Endgame/Quantumania era please. There's just so much potential for Scott getting to know her again. Who raised her during the blip? Did her mom and/or Paxton make it? Or did she slip through the cracks and raise herself? Once things get back to normal, is there any tension as Scott tries to assume more of a fatherly role that's maybe more based on the child he knew and not the near-adult who didn't have him around for a chunk of her childhood and all of her adolescence to date?
++Pairing-specific DNW: Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man 3) is not my favorite version of Cassie Lang. She just brought a little too much teenage rebellion and pigheadedness into it for my taste. If she and Scott butt heads, I would like it to be because she's not a little girl anymore, not because she's kind of a brat.
--DNW Exception: While I am generally opposed to emotionally comforting back rubs and circles, I could find it acceptable for Scott & Cassie. Whether she's here for it because she spent years missing that sort of fatherly affection or she's not into it because she's not used to it anymore or she has complex feelings about Scott never being around and she doesn't need/want that from him, I could really enjoy either direction.

Al Calavicci & Jimmy LaMotta: "Jimmy" (S2E8) is one of my favorite episodes, and I just really want Al to spend some time in the waiting room with him. Maybe it's not even for the sake of the mission; it's just because he wants to. We've seen his sadness and resentment over the way his sister was treated (and eventually died), but what if actually being around Jimmy reminds him of the good times?

Jon Kent & Jon-El: So, maybe starting a big fight and trying to force Jon to merge with him wasn't the best idea Jon-El has ever had. What if he tries again, this time trying to convince Jon that it's something he WANTS to do. That if they merge, Jon can have powers and respect and be beloved and not have to be the normal, weak, afraid one anymore. Maybe Jon-El takes Jon flying, which is something at that point nobody else in his superfamily seems to have ever done, and it's exhilarating. I also think it's easy to see Jon and Jon-El as potentially being the same people who were made different by circumstance. That combined with the mental link of being doppelgangers means Jon-El can potentially know *everything* about Jon. What scares him. What motivates him. All his secrets, even things Jon is too afraid to say out loud. How does he use that?

Alternately, what if Jon's innate goodness, nurtured by what had been a generally good family life up until recent times is reflected back at Jon-El and is able to pull him out of the darkness? Or, what if they DO merge, but it ends up being Jon-El's sacrifice for all the bad he's done to give Jon powers to help fight Ally?

Jon Kent/Jon-El: Similar to Jon & Jon-El above, being seduced by darkness is a pretty common trope. But what if in the case of Jon/Jon-El, it's literal. I headcanon Jon as bi but deeply in the closet, too afraid to tell people or act on his crushes (*cough*Tag Harris*cough*). And Jon-El does not strike me as the sort of person who would have any such reservations at this point in time. What if he opens that door for Jon? Is his first same-sex kiss? The first time where he gets really intimate with *anyone* and it's not horrifically interrupted by his mother? And because I realize this could be a problematic ask, using LGBTQ sexuality as a manipulation point, I'm also fine if, along the way Jon-El realizes just how afraid of everything Jon is, remembers when he felt that way too, and it just becomes about wanting to help Jon in a way he wished someone had been there for him, so that he didn't have to go darkside to gain confidence and get out of Kal's shadow.
++Pairing specific DNW: Getting caught. Coming out to the family. Anal sex.

Jon-El & Clark Kent: I feel like the show really wanted to do something with this pairing and then just...didn't. Particularly after Jon-El is a DoD prisoner, the opportunity is there for Clark to be trying to get information about Ally Allston and her plans to merge the universes and for Jon-El to use that opportunity to taunt him about Jon. Jon's not in a very good place at that point. He's been abusing XK to regain his edge at football, got accused of being a dealer and kicked off the team and out of school and his relationship with Clark is in the toilet. Meanwhile, Jon-El has his own experiences with Bizarro-Kal that shaped him AND he has a direct link to what Jon is thinking/feeling/doing. How many ways could he use that to get under Clark's skin? What secrets does he know that Clark doesn't? What seeds could he plant? And how would Clark use that? Would it increase the distrust he already has in Jon at this point or would it increase his drive to understand Jon more and fix things so that his son doesn't turn out like this evil kid who wears his face? Does he see his own failures with Jon through Kal's failures with Jon-El?

Alternately, I wouldn't mind a redemption story, where Clark convinces Jon-El that he doesn't have to be this person, and after helping defeat Ally he goes home to be the new Superman of Bizzaro World.
++Fandom-specific DNW: Straight-up Clark-bashing. That's not to say criticism isn't deserved. Clark himself IS a big part of the reason why his and Jon's relationship is in such a bad place, but I don't think Clark is a bad, abusive father who hates his normal son and loves his super-son (not that I'm opposed to Jon FEELING that way). But I do think Clark is incredibly blind to who Jonathan is. And it's evident in the pilot, even, because NOBODY is always happy and always smiling. But that was all Clark saw for 15 years -- his good, happy, resilient kid -- until he was forced to see a new, troubling side of him, and it was such a betrayal of faith that now it's all he can see in Jon, and he's handling it very badly (while also being a little preoccupied trying to save two whole-ass worlds because he's SUPERMAN).

Clark Kent & Jon Kent: I've written a lot about how broken Clark and Jon's relationship is; I'd like to see it start to heal, and I think it has to start with Clark's perception. Maybe Jon does something truly heroic and Clark finally sees beyond the handful of bad decisions that had been blinding him. Or maybe something happens that forces him to really see and feel just how much pain Jon is in. How alone and worthless he feels and just how little Clark has done to support his normal son. I'm particularly interested in some sort of de-aging (while keeping his memories) situation where Clark winds up back at Smallville High undercover as some newfound relative. I'm not too caught up in the particulars of how or why those situations come to be or get resolved, just what happens during them. Maybe being physically de-aged comes with less "muscle memory" control of his powers. What does he accidentally overhear? Can/will Jon cover for him if something gets out of hand? How does their dynamic change if they're together but Clark CAN'T be "Jon's dad" or "Mr. Kent"?

If you want to base something in season 4, I can accept that Jon and Clark aren't really in as bad of a place as they were in season 2 by then, but it still feels like they never really got *closure* on all the things that came between them. They just moved on from them, largely off-screen. But now here we are, and Clark sure looks dead. What regrets does Jon have about things that were said or WEREN'T said? Does he talk to the Clark AI at the fortress? That hologram seems like it could always be in swanky Kryptonian wear. What's it like now to only ever see his dad kitted out with gear from a culture and heritage that feels so closed off to him?

Clark Kent & Jon Kent & Jordan Kent: I am incredibly into the idea of a Clark & Jon body swap. Clark learns more about what it's like to be Jon and all of his struggles from being powerless to being a bit of a pariah. Jordan has to help Jon learn powers (because at some point Jon would have to impersonate Superman, right?) but also pick up some heroing slack in the absence of actual Superman AND help Clark navigate high school in the 2020s. And what if Jon has to pretend to be Clark? There are just a lot of options to play with here.

Sarah Cushing & Jon Kent: I really love where this pairing has gone, and what I want for them depends wildly on when it's set. In season one, Sarah was not terribly kind in her opinion of Jon. It was "sad" that he "couldn't function" when he's not one of the popular kids and Jon's interest in Tegan was dismissed out of hand with no explanation other than "she's out of his league." I basically spent the whole first season being like "Girl, who TF do you think you are? GTFO with that attitude!" and I desperately wanted to see her perception of him challenged, if not outright called out. And I'd still be into that.

But then season two happened. And when Jon's problems were at their peak and he was really struggling, she was the only one in the whole town who seemed to notice. And it was so bad that she actually went to Jordan and told him explicitly that -- as a suicide attempt survivor herself -- she was really worried about Jon. And then absolutely zero came out of that conversation on the show. I wouldn't mind a story where Jon is actually in that dark of a place and Sarah helps pull him out of it. Maybe they can even help each other given how she's not in the best place either, after the Jordan breakup.

And if that's a little too dark, I really love this friendship they've been developing in season three. Maybe they're looking at college brochures or studying for the PSAT and since Sarah knows all the Kent secrets now, it's a perfect vehicle for things to take a turn and Jon to express his fears of not having a future now that football's in the wind and Jordan may have accidentally torpedoed his firefighting experience. Or that things will never be the same again with his dad (Clark's immediate reaction of assuming Jon was not only drinking but driving after a party made it pretty clear that he still doesn't trust Jon to make good decisions). Or his fear of losing Lois to her cancer and then being all alone as a normal living with Superman and Samaritan. And it's not like Sarah is worry-free either. Her parents are definitively moving on after their divorce, she's about to be a big sister again, she kind of likes Junior but things are forever weird with Jordan, and she's got that DUI hanging over her head (if someone could please recognize that diversions are a thing for young first-timers and it's not going to take "5 years for it to come off her record" I would be forever grateful).

Basically let them be friends. Friends who have fun together, who talk to each other and can be vulnerable with each other and supportive when things are hard.

Jon Kent/Sarah Cushing & Jordan Kent: But, what if all of the above and then feelings happen? Is Jordan pissed? Does he take it in stride and realize that maybe he and Sarah aren't meant to be? Somewhere in between?

Sam Lane & Martha Kent: I love Sam and historically I have loved many a Martha, though we never really get to see her in this iteration. I'd like some pre-series interaction between them. What's it like in the early days of him knowing Clark's secret? Sharing grandparent duties when the boys are little? How's a holiday dinner go?

Sam Lane/Martha Kent: Pre-series, obviously. Because I just don't buy that Sam's been completely alone for 30 years, and as their friendship grows, I could see them falling into some sort of friends with benefits situation. Maybe it starts by just finding comfort with each other but it grows into a fun romp and they just really enjoy each other in ways their children will *never know about* (or so they hope). How exhilarating/nerve-wracking is it to try to sneak some kisses at Christmas or New Years when your son(-in-law) is Superman? But also, I'm not sure I buy them as a true-love pairing. You know, I'm fine with a situation where sure, they may love each other, they may love being with each other but their histories and obligations keep them from truly *falling in love*, and they're both adults and fine with that. I also would not be opposed to a framework set around Sam's reaction to Martha's death. Especially if Clark and Lois never knew they were together so all he can really do to mourn her is be alone with his memories. But I don't need that framework, either; just consider this note permission to go that way if you want.

TEEN WOLF
Sheriff Stilinski & Malia Tate: There's a scene in S4E11 where Stilinski asks Malia what her favorite food is, and she very wistfully says "Deer." Stiles redirects her to the more normal sounding pizza, but I've never forgotten that moment, and I'd like to think Stilinski didn't either. Surely there is an occasion at some point in time where he could surprise her with a nice venison steak. Just to open up the world of options: I would not mind if you wanted to set this within the series canon, movie canon or an AU future that disregards how either ended. (Basically keep Stiles and Malia together or don't; it doesn't really matter to me.)
++Fandom-specific DNWs: Malia portrayed as a feral child utterly confused by cutlery and all social graces. | Heavy Stiles use. He can be a topic of conversation. He can even be briefly present. But I find when he's around for long periods, he kind of sucks up all the air and attention, and I really just want a look at Stilinski and Malia.

TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES
Morris/Cameron Phillips & The Connor-Reese Household (TSCC) OR Morris & The Connor-Reese Household: The show moved pretty fast, but what if we could slow it down so that prom actually does roll around, and canceling on Morris and skipping would draw too much attention so they HAVE to go. Show me anyone's perspective. Cameron trying to figure out this tradition and not arousing suspicion in Morris. Morris, thinking this is a weird family but worth it. John, trying to balance his excitement of actually getting to do a hallmark of youth with the knowledge of all the dangers and everything that's coming. Derek, who'd given up on childhood expectations long ago, but still never thought his first prom would be as a chaperone. Both he and Sarah happy John gets to experience it but still on alert for all the same reasons. IDK, man, I just want Terminator Prom. With or without an uninvited metal guest to work around.

Fox Mulder & Dana Scully: I would like to see Mulder & Scully in a situation outside of their normal. One of my favorite episodes is "Eve" from season one and after that brief moment where Mulder and Scully were road-tripping with the two little girls, I just wanted more of that sort of dynamic. Taking care of kids. Stuck with a dog. Working with someone with special-needs (see also "Roland"). Anything where they're not necessarily relying on their big FBI brains and case files to get by but have to just be *people* for a bit. Relationship wise, I love the depth of their friendship and I like that area of space where you can see hints that it could be more, but I don't want anything explicit in that regard. Basically, I'm not worried if it gets a little dusting of emotional pre-ship flavor, but I'm not here for sex and romance.
++Fandom-specific DNW: Anything based heavily in the mid-to-late series, movies or revival. There's a lot of X-Files that I haven't seen, so I'm really looking for something that exists in the seasons 1-2 era or stands alone enough that it doesn't really matter when it's set.

Daniel LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence: I'm interested in something that could flip the script on them a little bit. Maybe when things are bad, Daniel gets his Drunken Miyagi moment and it's Johnny who gets him home and realizes just what Miyagi meant to Daniel, and how big those shoes are for Daniel to try to fill. I also wouldn't say no to a gentle "You're all right, LaRusso," call back. Or maybe a grateful "You're all right, Lawrence." Or maybe more about Johnny and Daniel figuring out how to co-teach. They might present a united front in front of the students, but what's it like when the kids aren't there? Or, depending on the season, can Daniel be a support for Johnny when it finally hits home that he just might have lost his son to John Kreese? Or, we've seen Sam kind of lean into Eagle Fang a little bit. How does that affect Johnny and Daniel?

Bobby Brown & Robby Keene: Ever since Johnny didn't make it to see Robby when he was in juvie, I've wanted a canon divergence where Bobby kept coming back and was a stable, nonjudgmental figure in Robby's life. Bobby doesn't abandon him like his mom and dad or fly off the handle and cut him loose whenever he screws up like Daniel. He's just there, helping him down a better path and being someone he can trust when he doesn't trust anyone else. And maybe, Robby helps Bobby rediscover his own love of karate, and Bobby mentors Robby instead of Kreese, and they use it as a healthy outlet for aggression and a gateway to peace and mindfulness, not as an identity in and of itself.

Johnny Lawrence & Aisha Robinson: I love that Johnny always calls Aisha "Miss Robinson," and I feel like if it were the sort of thing he had to be told to do, we would have seen him being told. So I feel like it's one part respect for her and one part taking his role as an actual teacher of kids seriously (even if he sometimes reverts back to more juvenile tendencies), which is largely uncommented on growth for someone like Johnny. And Aisha was so upset when she lost in the tournament that clearly karate means something to her like it did for Johnny. And I just want more of them.

Samantha LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence: Johnny's dad instincts may be the size of a sapling, but they're there, and I think that would be interesting to explore with Sam. What if somewhere in season 3, when Sam is still struggling with her mental scars after the school fight, Johnny finds her absolutely wasted and takes her home (to her house, because we all know how it went when drunk Sam ended up at Johnny's). Or maybe joint grousing about Daniel while Sam is spending time with Eagle Fang.

Or what if Sam confronts Kreese for turning her friends into little monsters earlier in the series, gets in way over her head and ends up getting help from Johnny. Before a fight that she'd never win can start, during a fight, or after are all good.

Daniel LaRusso & Samantha LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence: Basically the above prompt, but include Daniel in some way. Maybe he gets home to find Sam tucked safely away in bed and Johnny sleeping in a recliner in the living room because he didn't want to leave her there alone. Or maybe she has to knock some sense into them about not having to follow just one karate doctrine. You can be an Eagle and a Tree.

Anthony LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence: I'm kind of fixated on how Johnny would react if he finds out about all the bullying Anthony was enduring from Silver's Cobras. Because, sure, on one hand Anthony can be a little shithead, but even Johnny knows shit swirlies are how you get pinkeye and THAT's not cool. Also, by now he's seen the other side. He's learned the difference between being badass and being an asshole, in part because he's seen how assholes have treated kids he cares about. Can he look past their early interactions and see a little bit of Miguel or Burt in Anthony now? Plus, even if he never actually lorded it over Daniel that HE got a Big Dad Moment with his kid, he'd think it was bitchin' to know that he *could*.

Maybe it's something else, but for whatever reason, Steve can see Pennywise and the things it does. What does he see? What does Pennywise think of this random grown-up who can see him, when he's been exclusively the terror of the pre-teen sect for centuries?

Steve Harrington (Stranger Things) & The Losers Club (It Muschietti): How does Steve relate to The Losers? In the absence of Pennywise, what guidance can he offer Eddie or Ben about health and fitness? Does he see Jonathan in Bill, trying to hold everything together after the loss of his brother? Does he stand up for Bev, Richie (who, okay, maybe seems a little familiar), Mike and Stan in the face of their bullies and abusers? Or, because this is Derry after all, and Steve isn't unfamiliar with the world's weird shit, does he help them fight off Pennywise at some point (surely there's something new he could flip around and use to bash something's head in)? Encourage them to lay low? Throw them all in a station wagon and get the hell out of Dodge?

Sarah Connor (Terminator) & John Connor (Terminator) & John Kimble (Kindergarten Cop): I'm not terribly fussed about exactly matching timelines (though, on its face ages do line up) or whether Sarah's supposed to be off in Nicaragua or wherever the hell, I just want John Connor to be a part of John Kimble's kindergarten class. Is it set during the KC movie and he's really undercover trying to catch his own bad guy? Is it after, and he's retired from the force after deciding he actually liked teaching little kids? Don't know; don't care; I just want Sarah to pick her son up from school or whatever and see a goddamn Terminator. Do they run? Do they fight? Do they end up talking? Does Kimble believe? How does he get on with John before Sarah even shows up?

Sam Beckett (Quantum Leap 89) & Ben Song (Quantum Leap 22): Leaping isn't easy and Ben isn't very good at disguising himself when it comes to talking to holograms. Like at all. I just think it would be funny if Sam and Ben's paths kept crossing, and Sam can tell he's a leaper but stays out of his business until he just CAN'T anymore. Like, excuse yourself to a bathroom. Pick up a telephone. Do anything but have a full on conversation with the air six feet from other people. Maybe dig in a little bit about why Sam keeps leaping instead of going home.

Sam Beckett (Quantum Leap 89) & Janis Calavicci (Quantum Leap 22): Sam knows his work as a leaper is of vital importance, which is also why he knows he can't go home. Because if sees Al or Donna or Sammie Jo, he knows he won't be able to leave again. So it breaks his heart to know they miss him and never stopped looking. It shatters when Al is gone. But Janis is someone he can talk to. Maybe Janis is someone he can help. Or she him.

Cal Stone: I was very skeptical when the show had Young Teen Cal touch a thing, disappear and then immediately reappear somewhere else, mentally the same age he was when he left but physically a man around 20. But man, did it work. Because here he is in a grownup body but still feeling like a kid and then you add on to that his mom's been murdered, his baby sister's been kidnapped and though his father denies it, he absolutely blames Cal and it's obvious. I want to see more of Cal dealing with his new life. Maybe it's disappointment at missing the last year he could have reasonably gone trick-or-treating or not getting to go to high school or just...EVERYTHING with his family. Or a private moment as he contemplates the return of his cancer.

Angelina Meyer/Cal Stone: If my memory and math is right (and if it's not, let's pretend like it is), after the season four time skip Cal mentally should be around 16, maybe 17 (looking early 20s). Which I think is a fine age for an inadvisable fucked up relationship with an older (in her 20s) woman. I can absolutely see Angelina believing that they were special and destined by the divine to be together and raise the savior baby (either Eden or their own if it's after she's back at home). But has Cal bought into her delusion? Does he believe it, too? Or does he know she's unhinged, but even that is better than what he was experiencing with Ben? Or did he embark on a journey and a ruse to get Eden back so that Ben would love him again?

Ben Stone & Cal Stone: As might be obvious, I'm really into season four Ben and Cal and all the angst it entails. Manifest did such a good job of showing Ben absolutely gutted and lost in a grief spiral as he puts everything but finding Eden on the backburner, including the kids he still has. And he was so broken he couldn't even *really* see that he was doing it...until that moment at the compound when he thought Cal had been caught in an explosion. The look on his face was just immediate regret, fear and heartbreak. But even that wasn't enough to really fix things. Even after THAT they were still about to fall apart again (over Angelina, even), and it wasn't until Cal's cancer -- the thing that had been Ben's biggest fear for so much of Cal's life -- came back that they were able to really start to mend. But because it's a big show with a big cast, we didn't actually get to see a lot of it. So I'd like to see more of that. It doesn't have to be nice and pretty -- sometimes a fix starts with a break, after all. Or maybe a little more from those last days, when they've fixed things and Cal's decided to make a sacrifice for the passengers. How does Ben handle that when he's not putting on a brave face?

Cal Stone & Jared Vasquez OR Zeke Landon & Cal Stone: The general idea behind these two requests is the same - Cal and the other male role models in his life when his dad was acting largely absent. How do they help him when he needs it? Who teaches him to shave or gets him out of the house for a little while or comforts him when he's hurting? We've seen the closeness that Cal and Zeke have, which certainly lends itself to these types of stories but I also like the different dynamic you get with Jared, who has a little more distance but still cares about him. As far as Zeke is concerned, Cal's family. Jared may not feel that tight of a bond, but there was a time when he was about to part of Cal's family, too. That has to come with more closeness than just some rando kid on the street. So, explore more with Cal and either of those men, and I'd be happy. I know the show made bones about Olive taking on the burden of being a mother to her twin little brother, but that's never really sat well with me and I'd like to see these men (Michaela, too, if you want) being a more active participant in Cal's life in that first half of season 4.

Nebula & Tony Stark: We didn't really see Nebula and Tony interact at all once they got to Earth in Endgame, and I think that's something that needs correcting. I really like the idea of Nebula pushing Tony into his happy life with Pepper. Almost, giving him permission after what they survived and everything he's done. Or maybe just a moment to catch up before the time heist.

Cassie Lang & Scott Lang: More of them spending time together in/around Endgame please. Either before he leaves for New York or after the blip ends. There's just so much potential for Scott getting to know her again. Who raised her during the blip? Did her mom and/or Paxton make it? Or did she slip through the cracks and raise herself? Once things get back to normal, is there any tension as Scott tries to assume more of a fatherly role that's maybe more based on the child he knew and not the near-adult who didn't have him around for a chunk of her childhood and all of her adolescence to date?
++Pairing-specific DNW: Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man 3) is not my favorite version of Cassie Lang. She just brought a little too much teenage rebellion and pigheadedness into it for my taste. If she and Scott butt heads, I would like it to be because she's not a little girl anymore, not because she's kind of a brat.
--DNW Exception: While I am generally opposed to emotionally comforting back rubs and circles, I could find it acceptable for Scott & Cassie. Whether she's here for it because she spent years missing that sort of fatherly affection or she's not into it because she's not used to it anymore or she has complex feelings about Scott never being around and she doesn't need/want that from him, I could really enjoy either direction.

Teresa Bruckner & Al Calavicci: In "Another Mother" (S2E13), Teresa is a little girl who can see Al (because kids under 5 and animals can "only see the truth," apparently) and they get along great. And at the end, Al says he'll come back to visit her, but she's never mentioned again. But what if and every time Sam's leaps send him close enough in time and space, Al has Gooshie center him on Teresa for quick visits. What are they like? What's it like when he gets there and she can't see him anymore? Could she see him for longer than most just because of that connection? What if they run into each other in the present? Who recognizes whom, and how? Does she even remember him?

Al Calavicci & Jimmy LaMotta: "Jimmy" (S2E8) is one of my favorite episodes, and I just really want Al to spend some time in the waiting room with him. Maybe it's not even for the sake of the mission; it's just because he wants to. We've seen his sadness and resentment over the way his sister was treated (and eventually died), but what if actually being around Jimmy reminds him of the good times?
++Pairing-specific DNW: Focus on Jimmy looking like Sam. I'd be fine if you wanted to ignore that element or pretend the system had been tweaked to make people look like themselves.

Jon Kent & Jon-El: So, maybe starting a big fight and trying to force Jon to merge with him wasn't the best idea Jon-El has ever had. What if he tries again, this time trying to convince Jon that it's something he WANTS to do. That if they merge, Jon can have powers and respect and be beloved and not have to be the normal, weak, afraid one anymore. Maybe Jon-El takes Jon flying, which is something at that point nobody else in his superfamily seems to have ever done, and it's exhilarating. I also think it's easy to see Jon and Jon-El as potentially being the same people who were made different by circumstance. That combined with the mental link of being doppelgangers means Jon-El can potentially know *everything* about Jon. What scares him. What motivates him. All his secrets, even things Jon is too afraid to say out loud. How does he use that?

Alternately, what if Jon's innate goodness, nurtured by what had been a generally good family life up until recent times is reflected back at Jon-El and is able to pull him out of the darkness? Or, what if they DO merge, but it ends up being Jon-El's sacrifice for all the bad he's done to give Jon powers to help fight Ally?

Jon Kent/Jon-El: Similar to Jon & Jon-El above, being seduced by darkness is a pretty common trope. But what if in the case of Jon/Jon-El, it's literal. I headcanon Jon as bi but deeply in the closet, too afraid to tell people or act on his crushes (*cough*Tag Harris*cough*). And Jon-El does not strike me as the sort of person who would have any such reservations at this point in time. What if he opens that door for Jon? Is his first same-sex kiss? The first time where he gets really intimate with *anyone* and it's not horrifically interrupted by his mother? And because I realize this could be a problematic ask, using LGBTQ sexuality as a manipulation point, I'm also fine if, along the way Jon-El realizes just how afraid of himself Jon is (which could apply to a lot of things beyond sexuality), remembers when he felt that way too, and it just becomes about wanting to help Jon in a way he wished someone had been there for him, so that he didn't have to go darkside to gain confidence and get out of Kal's shadow.
++Pairing specific DNW: Getting caught. Coming out to the family. Anal sex.

Jon-El & Clark Kent: I feel like the show really wanted to do something with this pairing and then just...didn't. Particularly after Jon-El is a DoD prisoner, the opportunity is there for Clark to be trying to get information about Ally Allston and her plans to merge the universes and for Jon-El to use that opportunity to taunt him about Jon. Jon's not in a very good place at that point. He's been abusing XK to regain his edge at football, got accused of being a dealer and kicked off the team and out of school and his relationship with Clark is in the toilet. Meanwhile, Jon-El has his own experiences with Bizarro-Kal that shaped him AND he has a direct link to what Jon is thinking/feeling/doing. How many ways could he use that to get under Clark's skin? What secrets does he know that Clark doesn't? What seeds could he plant? And how would Clark use that? Would it increase the distrust he already has in Jon at this point or would it increase his drive to understand Jon more and fix things so that his son doesn't turn out like this evil kid who wears his face? Does he see his own failures with Jon through Kal's failures with Jon-El?

Alternately, I wouldn't mind a redemption story, where Clark convinces Jon-El that he doesn't have to be this person, and after helping defeat Ally he goes home to be the new Superman of Bizzaro World.
++Fandom-specific DNW: Straight-up Clark-bashing. That's not to say criticism isn't deserved. Clark himself IS a big part of the reason why his and Jon's relationship is in such a bad place, but I don't think Clark is a bad, abusive father who hates his normal son and loves his super-son (not that I'm opposed to Jon FEELING that way). But I do think Clark is incredibly blind to who Jonathan is. And it's evident in the pilot, even, because NOBODY is always happy and always smiling. But that was all Clark saw for 15 years -- his good, happy, resilient kid -- until he was forced to see a new, troubling side of him, and it was such a betrayal of faith that now it's all he can see in Jon, and he's handling it very badly (while also being a little preoccupied trying to save two whole-ass worlds because he's SUPERMAN).

Clark Kent & Jon Kent: I've written a lot about how broken Clark and Jon's relationship is; I'd like to see it start to heal, and I think it has to start with Clark's perception. Maybe Jon does something truly heroic and Clark finally sees beyond the handful of bad decisions that had been blinding him. Or maybe something happens that forces him to really see and feel just how much pain Jon is in. How alone and worthless he feels and just how little Clark has done to support his normal son. I'm particularly interested in some sort of de-aging (while keeping his memories) situation where Clark winds up back at Smallville High undercover as some newfound relative. I'm not too caught up in the particulars of how or why those situations come to be or get resolved, just what happens during them. Maybe being physically de-aged comes with less "muscle memory" control of his powers. What does he accidentally overhear? Can/will Jon cover for him if something gets out of hand? How does their dynamic change if they're together but Clark CAN'T be "Jon's dad/Mr. Kent"?

Clark Kent & Jon Kent & Jordan Kent: I am incredibly into the idea of a Clark & Jon body swap. Clark learns more about what it's like to be Jon and all of his struggles from being powerless to being a bit of a pariah. Jordan has to help Jon learn powers (because at some point Jon would have to impersonate Superman, right?) but also pick up some heroing slack in the absence of actual Superman. And what if Jon has to pretend to be Clark? There are just a lot of options to play with here.

Spoilers for the first two episodes of season 4: If you want to base something in season 4, I can accept that Jon and Clark aren't really in as bad of a place as they were in season 2 by then, but it still feels like they never really got *closure* on all the things that came between them. They just moved on from them, largely off-screen. But now here we are, and Clark sure looks dead. What regrets does Jon have about things that were said or WEREN'T said? Does he talk to the Clark AI at the fortress? That hologram seems like it could always be in swanky Kyrptonian wear. What's it like now to only ever see his dad kitted out with gear from a culture and heritage that feels so closed off to him?

Sarah Cushing & Jon Kent: I really love where this pairing has gone, and what I want for them depends wildly on when it's set. In season one, Sarah was not terribly kind in her opinion of Jon. It was "sad" that he "couldn't function" when he's not one of the popular kids and Jon's interest in Tegan was dismissed out of hand with no explanation other than "she's out of his league." I basically spent the whole first season being like "Girl, who TF do you think you are? GTFO with that attitude!" and I desperately wanted to see her perception of him challenged, if not outright called out. And I'd still be into that.

But then season two happened. And when Jon's problems were at their peak and he was really struggling, she was the only one in the whole town who seemed to notice. And it was so bad that she actually went to Jordan and told him explicitly that -- as a suicide attempt survivor herself -- she was really worried about Jon. And then absolutely zero came out of that conversation on the show. I wouldn't mind a story where Jon is actually in that dark of a place and Sarah helps pull him out of it. Maybe they can even help each other given how she's not in the best place either, after the Jordan breakup.

And if that's a little too dark, I really love this friendship they've been developing in season three. Maybe they're looking at college brochures or studying for the PSAT and since Sarah knows all the Kent secrets now, it's a perfect vehicle for things to take a turn and Jon to express his fears of not having a future now that football's in the wind and Jordan may have accidentally torpedoed his firefighting experience. Or that things will never be the same again with his dad (Clark's immediate reaction of assuming Jon was not only drinking but driving after a party made it pretty clear that he still doesn't trust Jon to make good decisions). Or his fear of losing Lois to her cancer and then being all alone as a normal living with Superman and Samaritan. And it's not like Sarah is worry-free either. Her parents are definitively moving on after their divorce, she's about to be a big sister again, she kind of likes Junior but things are forever weird with Jordan, and she's got that DUI hanging over her head (if someone could please recognize that diversions are a thing for young first-timers and it's not going to take "5 years for it to come off her record" I would be forever grateful).

Basically let them be friends. Friends who have fun together, who talk to each other and can be vulnerable with each other and supportive when things are hard.

Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Fox Mulder & Dana Scully: I would like to see Mulder, Scully or Mulder & Scully in a situation outside of their normal. One of my favorite episodes is "Eve" from season one and after that brief moment where Mulder and Scully were road-tripping with the two little girls, I just wanted more of that sort of dynamic. Taking care of kids. Stuck with a dog. Working with someone with special-needs (see also "Roland"). Anything where they can't necessarily rely on their big FBI brains and case files to get by but have to just be *people*. Feel free to get pre-shippy if you really want to, I just didn't want anything that veered into established relationship territory.
++Fandom-specific DNW: Anything based heavily in the mid-to-late series, movies or revival. I've never seen more than an episode or two of the Doggett years -- or even all the Mulder ones -- let alone the stuff that came after, and my current placement is somewhere in season two. I'm here for some de-aged Clark, and I have ideas for all the options. I'm not terribly concerned with how he got aged down or how he'll get aged back up so feel free to handwave as much or as little of that aspect as you like.

1.NO MEMORY OR AGE-APPROPRIATE MEMORY
For this, I'm thinking 8-12 range. At the very least he wakes up in a world where his powers are just developing only to find out he's in the future and his parents are dead. At the most, he wakes up with the sort of memory loss where you remember the world and like, math and whatever, but you're a big blank spot to yourself. Either way, pretty scary. What if, of everyone, Sam is the one he connects with and who can soothe him. Is it a tiny piece of his subconscious latching onto that general vibe of doing right that his fathers instilled, or something else? I feel like at the end of season one, Sam was finally really starting to get comfortable with the idea of Clark being his son-in-law. Would this be the push to really solidify that bond and make him almost more like a son?

Or what if Jordan and/or unpowered Jon have to take the reins on helping little Clark manage his powers and situation?

2. MEMORY INTACT
What if Clark's a teenager and has to go back to high school and pretend to be a normal Kent cousin (IDK, maybe they explain him as a relative who popped up from a DNA site like Ancestry or 23 and Me) while Jon and Jordan have to keep their dad from basically embarrassing everybody. And maybe he could learn a little more about his kids -- and they him -- along the way. This is a concept that lends itself well to funny fluff, but if set in season 2 or 3 it's also rife with potential to hit darker notes as Jon struggles with the repercussions of the XK incident and Jordan clearly wants to be a hero (even if it is as Samaritan and not Jordan Kent).

Or for a Sam angle, maybe Clark still wants to go out and do Superman stuff, and Sam has to dad-up and be all "You look 14 years old; you can't go be Superman right now!" Which, come to think, s also an idea that works well for Clark relating to Jordan.

Fandom-specific DNW: Over-sexualization/fetishization of Dewey's scars. Like, obviously his scars should be a central focus, but if the touching comes during sexy times I don't want it to be like "Gale thinks Dewey's scars are HOT and she just wants to lick them and dig her fingers in!" This is also a strong exception to my "unbearable need" like. I'd prefer these interactions to be willful and purposeful, if that makes sense.

Dear Candymaker: Hello! Thank you for making something for me! I don't know what fandom brought us together, but I hope I've provided plenty of helpful information. I've written a little (or a lot) about each pairing -- ideas I'd like to see, my thoughts on the relationships, etc. -- if it's helpful, but I'd also be equally happy if you latched onto something from my likes list and did your own thing with it. Also, please don't be discouraged if I had more to say about one fandom or ship over others. Everything that's here is something that I want and would be happy to receive, whether I said 10 words or 1,000 about it.

Bobby Brown & Robby Keene: Ever since Johnny didn't make it to see Robby when he was in juvie, I've wanted a canon divergence where Bobby kept coming back and was a stable, nonjudgmental figure in Robby's life. Bobby doesn't abandon him like his mom and dad or fly off the handle and cut him loose whenever he screws up like Daniel. He's just there, helping him down a better path and being someone he can trust when he doesn't trust anyone else. And maybe, Robby helps Bobby rediscover his own love of karate, and Bobby mentors Robby instead of Kreese, and they use it as a healthy outlet for aggression and a gateway to peace and mindfulness, not as an identity in and of itself. Bobby is a pastor.

Aisha Robinson & Johnny Lawrence: I love that Johnny always calls Aisha "Miss Robinson," and I feel like if it were the sort of thing he had to be told to do, we would have seen him being told. So I feel like it's mostly a respect thing, which is largely uncommented on growth for someone like Johnny. And Aisha was so upset when she lost in the tournament that clearly karate means something to her like it did for Johnny. And I just want more of them.

Daniel LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence: I'm interested in something that could flip the script on them a little bit. Maybe Daniel gets his Drunken Miyagi moment and it's Johnny who gets him home and realizes just what Miyagi meant to Daniel, and how big those shoes are for Daniel to try to fill. I also wouldn't say no to a gentle "You're all right, LaRusso," call back. Or maybe a grateful "You're all right, Lawrence." The show gave us a little bit of Johnny seeing Daniel at a low in season 5, but it was just a taste, and I want a meal, set at any point where things are rough for Daniel.

Johnny Lawrence & Samantha LaRusso: Johnny's dad instincts may be the size of a sapling, but they're there, and I think that would be interesting to explore with Sam. What if somewhere in season 3, when Sam is still struggling with her mental scars after the school fight, Johnny finds her absolutely wasted and takes her home (to her house, because we all know how it went when drunk Sam ended up at Johnny's). Or maybe joint grousing about Daniel while Sam is spending time with Eagle Fang.

Or what if Sam confronts Kreese for turning her friends into little monsters earlier in the series, gets in way over her head and ends up getting help from Johnny. Before a fight that she'd never win can start, during a fight, or after are all good.

Amanda LaRusso/Daniel LaRusso/Johnny Lawrence: One of the frustrating things about Cobra Kai is how many times Johnny and Daniel come close to sort of fixing things between them before it all goes to shit. What if, during one such good moment (before Johnny/Carmen became a thing), they all end up back at the LaRusso house, very very drunk, oscillating between happy and antagonistic until Amanda's finally like "Fuck it, this UST has to go, right now," and then they're all on the train to sexy fun times and awkward breakfasts.

James Bond & Miss Moneypenny or James Bond/Miss Moneypenny: Bond and Moneypenny flirting gives me life, regardless of whether it actually amounts to anything. It could be platonic because they're besties and it's fun. Or they could finally get that drink and it does go somewhere. Or there's always the good old "danger ends in realized feelings" trope.

Fandom-specific DNW: Field-incompetent Moneypenny. (Not that she needs to be Kung Fu Moneypenny or anything, but I could definitely see her in the "drop heavy thing on head"/self-defense to break away from a hold realm of things if circumstances pull her into into a little adventuring. Or maybe her superior office skill and knowledge of office politics get them in or out of situation. It'd be kind of cool if their different skills could allow them to trade life-saving moments.) | "No, no, yes," regarding Moneypenny's thoughts on romance with Bond. Someone may have to make the first move, but I'd like them to be pretty well on the same page about it.

Also, I specified the Connery movies because no other version of the character(s) had the same dynamic, but I loved all the 20th Century Bonds from Connery to Brosnan. So if you want to set it in a different era of Bond than the Sean Connery 60s and just use the Connery/Lois Maxwell dynamic as a guide, that's fine` too.

Wikipedia tells me that Bond lore has given Moneypenny the first name of Jane (books), Penny (at least one pre-Craig movie) and Eve (Skyfall). All of those plus variations on Eve work for me if you want to use a first name.

Nebula & Tony Stark: We didn't really see Nebula and Tony interact at all once they got to Earth in Endgame, and I think that's something that needs correcting. I really like the idea of Nebula pushing Tony into his happy life with Pepper. Maybe almost giving him permission after what they survived and everything he's done. Or a reunion while they're planning the time heist.

Cassie Lang & Scott Lang: More of them spending time together in/around Endgame please. Either before he leaves for New York or after the blip ends. There's just so much potential for Scott getting to know her again. Who raised her during the blip? Did her mom and/or Paxton make it? Or did she slip through the cracks and raise herself? Once things get back to normal, is there any tension as Scott tries to assume more of a fatherly role that's maybe more based on the child he knew and not the near-adult who didn't have him around for a chunk of her childhood and all of her adolescence to date?
++Pairing-specific DNW: Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man 3) is not my favorite version of Cassie Lang. She just brought a little too much teenage rebellion and pigheadedness into it for my taste. If she and Scott butt heads, I would like it to be because she's not a little girl anymore, not because she's kind of a brat.

Steve Rogers/Original Male Character: I really like the idea of depressed Steve during the Endgame blip finding sparks of joy in human connection. I don't mean jumping into bed for meaningless sex with anyone who looks his way, but rather not taking anything for granted. If there's some chemistry and attraction and they're both on the same page of not being relationship-ready, why not find some comfort and solace in a world that's turned to dust? (And maybe that's all it is, and that's fine, or maybe it becomes something more.) ** This pairing can be an exception to the noncanon established relationship DNW **
++Pairing-specific DNW:: Earnest conversations about safe gay sex and relationships. I don't think Steve needs it, because I don't think it's a particularly new experience for him; it's just an aspect of himself that he's never advertised or really indulged since skipping ahead to the 21st century. But with half the world gone, life's too short and miserable to hold back on a chance to feel something.

Carlton Lassiter & Juliet O'Hara: Their friendship is wonderful, and I always want more of them just being best friends, at any point, really. If you'd like a specific prompt, I'm kind of keen on a canon divergence where Shawn and Juliet have a real wedding, and in a last-minute kerfuffle, neither Frank nor Lloyd can make the ceremony, but Carlton is there to walk her down the aisle.

Juliet O'Hara & Henry Spencer: Juliet is family now and I feel like these two have a criminally small amount of interaction in canon. Given Juliet's complicated history with Frank and Lloyd, I'd love to see her spending time with the father-in-law who will never disappoint her and who knows what it's like to love Shawn, even when he's gone full, irritatingly childish. If you'd like a specific prompt, I'm kind of keen on a canon divergence where Shawn and Juliet have a real wedding, and in a last-minute kerfuffle, neither Frank nor Lloyd can make the wedding, but Henry fills in for a father-daughter (in-law) dance.

Al Calavicci & Teresa Bruckner: In "Another Mother" (S2E13), Teresa is a little girl who can see Al (because kids under 5 and animals can "only see the truth," apparently) and they get along great. And at the end, Al says he'll come back to visit her, but she's never mentioned again. But what if and every time Sam's leaps send him close enough in time and space, Al has Gooshie center him on Teresa for quick visits. What are they like? What's it like when he gets there and she can't see him anymore? Could she see him for longer than most just because of that connection? What if they run into each other in the present?

Al Calavicci & Jimmy LaMotta: "Jimmy" (S2E8) is one of my favorite episodes, and I just really want Al to spend some time in the waiting room with him. Maybe it's not even for the sake of the mission; it's just because he wants to. We've seen his sadness and resentment over the way his sister was treated (and eventually died), but what if actually being around Jimmy reminds him of the good times?
++Pairing-specific DNW: Focus on Jimmy looking like Sam. I'd be fine if you wanted to ignore that element or pretend the system had been tweaked to make people look like themselves.

Sam Beckett/Original Male Character: We've never seen Sam definitively leap into a gay character. The closest we've gotten to any "m/m" interactions are when Sam leaps into women, and even then those were almost always "Sam has to deal with sexual harassment, sexual assault, being a single mom, having a husband who just doesn't get all this women's lib stuff" and that last one is the one time we've seen an almost kiss and it was very much played for laughs. And I get it, given the time period, but that doesn't mean I don't want more.

What if Sam leaps into a loving relationship that isn't the focus of the leap, but just may be the best part of it? What if he leaps into a secret relationship who's host is still closeted to his family? What if the mission is to kickstart a relationship, and along the way Sam falls just a little bit in love? Is there bigotry and hatred in the community that needs dealt with? What if Sam leaps in/wakes up next to a guy, irritated not because there's a man there but because he thinks he's leapt into a woman and will have to deal with the shoes and the makeup and the dresses and the sexism, but then he gets to a mirror and sees a man staring back at him?

Pairing-specific note/DNWs:
- Sam has a canonical interest in women, and I'm fine if you want to make him either straight but not bigoted, or bisexual or pan. I just don't really want a lecture about what his sexuality is. IF physical affection gives him pause this leap, I'd like for it to be because that's just how Sam is every time he leaps into someone who's in a relationship (despite the seriously long montage of lip-locks in the seriously long opening credits), or because it's new to him. Not because "Ew, man lips."

- I'm also not interested in porn, actual or implied, for this pairing.

- Should Al make an appearance, I'd prefer he not be portrayed as a raging, awful homophobe. He's ignorant, but he's not a "gay people are bad and shouldn't exist" sort. But I could see HIM being of the "Ew, man-lips" persuasion, just because he is not personally interested in that. And, yeah, that's kind of self-centered but...it's Al. He's not bad, he's just kind of a cad.

Robert Balboa Jr. & Paulie Pennino: I really love Rocky 5, and one of my favorite things about is how Paulie takes Robert under his wing while Rocky is distracted training Tommy. Paulie's an overweight, middle-aged man with no real boxing experience to speak of, but he doesn't hesitate to train Robert up to deal with his bullies as best he can when he realizes the kid is struggling. I love that they got their own little montage within the traditional montage, and I'd like more from this time period. I also really enjoyed their brief interaction when Robert has grown up in Rocky Balboa. It's so short, just a kiss on the cheek in greeting, but it really felt indicative of how much Paulie had mellowed and how much he still cares about Robert, who is so different from Rocky. I love Rocky, and I don't think he's a bad dad at all, but I feel like losing Adrian would have distracted him from Robert even more than Tommy did, and that Paulie again would have been a good candidate to step in here and encourage Robert to forge his own path, even if it's not in boxing (but also not in that stuffy finance job he left).

Rocky Balboa & Paulie Pennino: I don't really know how Rocky and Paulie became friends, but I'm glad they did and were able to maintain it through ups and downs. So, maybe something about when they met. In a good friendship, each person brings something to the table that the other person likes. What made Rocky like Paulie? What made Paulie like Rocky? It's easy to say Rocky's always been the muscle who probably defended Paulie against others, but is there some way Paulie could defend Rocky? Maybe against people who think he's just a big dumb ape? Or, sometimes a good friend will tell you when you're fucking up. Is there a point in Rocky V where Paulie could hit Rocky with the truth stick about prioritizing Tommy over everything else, including Robert? Maybe point out that the kid he's known for a few months or whatever isn't him, and he's not Mickey, and trying to fast-track that dynamic will only end in heartache. Or, I will forever be convinced that the idea for Adrian's -- the Italian restaurant where Rocky schmoozes with guests -- was Paulie's idea. How'd that pitch go? I'm also convinced that the giant Rocky-Apollo painting in said restaurant is a Paulie original. I'd like to see the gifting of that. Was it a formal gift to be unwrapped, or did he just barge in and put it on the wall?

Fandom-specific DNW: Rocky-bashing. I'm fine some criticism where criticism is deserved, but I don't think Rocky is a bad dad who doesn't care about Robert. They actually had a lot of really sweet interactions in Rocky IV! But I think in II, he was just too bereft about possibly losing Adrian post-partum that he wasn't thinking clearly. He was just thinking about what THEY were supposed to do together as parents, not about what he should still be doing as a father. And in V, he was just excited. Rocky's relationship with Mickey in I-III was so important to him, and he thought Tommy was his chance to be Mickey for someone else. And that blinded him a little bit to everything. And maybe it's normal to want our faves to be perfectly mentally and emotionally stable and always doing right by everyone around them, but I feel like a lot of Rocky's reactions and actions, while they may have had some unfortunate consequences, were undeniably human. And that's what makes Rocky special and his story feel so complete to me.

SUPERMAN & LOIS(Back to Top)
Jon Kent & Jon-El: So, maybe starting a big fight and trying to force Jon to merge with him wasn't the best idea Jon-El has ever had. What if he tries again, this time trying to convince Jon that it's something he WANTS to do. That if they merge, Jon can have powers and respect and be beloved and not have to be the normal, weak, afraid one anymore. Maybe Jon-El takes Jon flying, which is something at that point nobody else in his superfamily seems to have ever done, and it's exhilarating. I also think it's easy to see Jon and Jon-El as potentially being the same people who were made different by circumstance. That combined with the mental link of being doppelgangers means Jon-El can potentially know *everything* about Jon. What scares him. What motivates him. All his secrets, even things Jon is too afraid to say out loud. How does he use that?

Alternately, what if Jon's innate goodness, nurtured by what had been a generally good family life up until recent times is reflected back at Jon-El and is able to pull him out of the darkness? Or, what if they DO merge, but it ends up being Jon-El's sacrifice for all the bad he's done to give Jon powers to help fight Ally?

Jon Kent/Jon-El: Similar to Jon & Jon-El above, being seduced by darkness is a pretty common trope. But what if in the case of Jon/Jon-El, it's literal. I headcanon Jon as bi but deeply in the closet, too afraid to tell people or act on his crushes (*cough*Tag Harris*cough*). And Jon-El does not strike me as the sort of person who would have any such reservations at this point in time. What if he opens that door for Jon? Is his first same-sex kiss? The first time where he gets really intimate with *anyone* and it's not horrifically interrupted by his mother? And because I realize this could be a problematic ask, using LGBTQ sexuality as a manipulation point, I'm also fine if, along the way Jon-El realizes just how afraid of himself Jon is (which could apply to a lot of things beyond sexuality), remembers when he felt that way too, and it just becomes about wanting to help Jon in a way he wished someone had been there for him, so that he didn't have to go darkside to gain confidence and get out of Kal's shadow.
++Pairing specific DNW: Getting caught. Coming out to the family. Anal sex.

Jon-El & Clark Kent: I feel like the show really wanted to do something with this pairing and then just...didn't. Particularly after Jon-El is a DoD prisoner, the opportunity is there for Clark to be trying to get information about Ally Allston and her plans to merge the universes and for Jon-El to use that opportunity to taunt him about Jon. Jon's not in a very good place at that point. He's been abusing XK to regain his edge at football, got accused of being a dealer and kicked off the team and out of school and his relationship with Clark is in the toilet. Meanwhile, Jon-El has his own experiences with Bizarro-Kal that shaped him AND he has a direct link to what Jon is thinking/feeling/doing. How many ways could he use that to get under Clark's skin? What secrets does he know that Clark doesn't? What seeds could he plant? And how would Clark use that? Would it increase the distrust he already has in Jon at this point or would it increase his drive to understand Jon more and fix things so that his son doesn't turn out like this evil kid who wears his face? Does he see his own failures with Jon through Kal's failures with Jon-El?

Alternately, I wouldn't mind a redemption story, where Clark convinces Jon-El that he doesn't have to be this person, and after helping defeat Ally he goes home to be the new Superman of Bizzaro World.
++Fandom-specific DNW: Clark-bashing in the narrative. That's not to say criticism isn't deserved. Clark himself IS a big part of the reason why his and Jon's relationship is in such a bad place, but I don't think Clark is a bad, abusive father who hates his normal son and loves his super-son (not that I'm opposed to Jon FEELING that way). But I do think Clark is incredibly blind to who Jonathan is. And it's evident in the pilot, even, because NOBODY is always happy and always smiling. But that was all Clark saw for 15 years -- his good, happy, resilient kid -- until he was forced to see a new, troubling side of him, and it was such a betrayal of faith that now it's all he can see in Jon, and he's handling it very badly (while also being a little preoccupied trying to save two whole-ass worlds because he's SUPERMAN).

Jon Kent/Tag Harris: I know the canon basis for them is thin, but I love them so much. Injuries, assy teens and a terrible coach made football outcasts of them in season one, and they were maybe just starting to be friends before Tag's powers became a thing. I would like for them to have not completely lost contact. I like the idea of Tag being Jon's bi awakening, Jon being someone who doesn't treat Tag differently because of his power, and Tag being someone that can give Jon a different perspective on power. We know he resents Jordan and Clark's abilities, and I think part of that is because he's so locked out of them. I think we've only seen superspeed for Tag on the show, but he is part of a government experiment program now; maybe they've adapted the XK to give him baby versions of other powers. Tag and Jonathan could be the first ones who try to roast marshmallows with his heat vision (successfully or not). Or maybe Tag's the first one to take Jon flying (since we've certainly never seen it from Clark), even if it's just floating at tree level in the woods. IDK if this is making any sense, but I'd like to see them enjoy Tag's sharing of his power.

I also like the idea of Tag having his own ELT-like device that he gives Jon (Maybe hidden in a watch or a piece of jewelry to show just how different and modern they are). Mainly because I've recently been introduced to some Lauren Daigle songs, and Rescue just speaks to me as an anthem for them when Jon seems so lost and broken down and disappointed by his life and family.

Clark Kent & Jon Kent: I've written a lot about how broken Clark and Jon's relationship is; I'd like to see it start to heal, and I think it has to start with Clark's perception. Maybe Jon does something truly heroic and Clark finally sees beyond the handful of bad decisions that had been blinding him. Or maybe something happens that forces him to really see and feel just how much pain Jon is in. How alone and worthless he feels and just how little Clark has done to support his normal son.

Sarah Cushing & Jon Kent: I really love where this pairing has gone, and what I want for them depends wildly on when it's set. In season one, Sarah was not terribly kind in her opinion of Jon. It was "sad" that he "couldn't function" when he's not one of the popular kids and Jon's interest in Tegan was dismissed out of hand with no explanation other than "she's out of his league." I basically spent the whole first season being like "Girl, who TF do you think you are? GTFO with that attitude!" and I desperately wanted to see her perception of him challenged, if not outright called out. And I'd still be into that.

But then season two happened. And when Jon's problems were at their peak and he was really struggling, she was the only one in the whole town who seemed to notice. And it was so bad that she actually went to Jordan and told him explicitly that -- as a suicide attempt survivor herself -- she was really worried about Jon. And then absolutely zero came out of that conversation on the show. I wouldn't mind a story where Jon is actually in that dark of a place and Sarah helps pull him out of it. Maybe they can even help each other given how she's not in the best place either, after the Jordan breakup.

And if that's a little too dark, I really love this friendship they've been developing in season three. Maybe they're looking at college brochures or studying for the PSAT and since Sarah knows all the Kent secrets now, it's a perfect vehicle for things to take a turn and Jon to express his fears of not having a future now that football's in the wind and Jordan may have accidentally torpedoed his firefighting experience. Or that things will never be the same again with his dad (Clark's immediate reaction of assuming Jon was not only drinking but driving after a party made it pretty clear that he still doesn't trust Jon to make good decisions). Or his fear of losing Lois to her cancer and then being all alone as a normal living with Superman and Samaritan. And it's not like Sarah is worry-free either. Her parents are definitively moving on after their divorce, she's about to be a big sister again, she kind of likes Junior but things are forever weird with Jordan, and she's got that DUI hanging over her head (if someone could please recognize that diversions are a thing for young first-timers and it's not going to take "5 years for it to come off her record" I would be forever grateful).

Basically let them be friends. Friends who have fun together, who talk to each other and can be vulnerable with each other and supportive when things are hard.

Jon Kent/Sarah Cushing & Jordan Kent: What if Jon and Sarah's season 3 friendship (see above) did go farther, and feelings grew from all that honesty and vulnerability? Would that be something that pushes Jordan over the edge and fractures his relationship with his twin? Or would he see in them something that was missing from his own relationship with Sarah and realize that they work better together and he can finally move on from his first love? Or something in between?

TEEN WOLF(Back to Top)
Sheriff Stilinski & Malia Tate: There's a scene in S4E11 where Stilinski asks Malia what her favorite food is, and she very wistfully says "Deer." Stiles redirects her to the more normal sounding pizza, but I've never forgotten that moment, and I'd like to think Stilinski didn't either. Surely there is an occasion at some point in time where he could surprise her with a nice venison steak. Just to open up the world of options: I would not mind if you wanted to set this within the series canon, movie canon or an AU future that disregards how either ended. (Basically keep Stiles and Malia together or don't; it doesn't really matter to me.)

Fandom-specific DNWs: Malia portrayed as a feral child utterly confused by cutlery and all social graces. | Heavy Stiles use. He can be a topic of conversation. He can even be briefly present. But I find when he's around for long periods, he kind of sucks up all the air and attention, and I really just want a look at Stilinski and Malia.

John Connor & Kyle Reese: I'm really interested in John's relationship with Kyle. Because on one hand, the closest thing John ever had to father figure was a Terminator. So being able to meet his father in the future must be special or meaningful in some way. On the other, based on Terminator Salvation or Terminator Genisys, his father is either a literal child or a teenager. Maybe a young a adult, but either way, still much younger than John himself. If he's a kid (Genisys), John has to protect, train and basically raise him. How's that go? Does the line between Kyle being his father and Kyle feeling almost like his de facto son ever get blurred? If he's older (Salvation), John still has to befriend and train him, and I wonder if John ever looks at him and can see glimpses of what Kyle might have been like as a father if that were the life they'd got to live. Can he see the sort of man Kyle would have been for Sarah if he hadn't been killed? How does John knowing that he's going to send Kyle to his death affect their relationship? Or does he always hope for a different outcome?

TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES(Back to Top)
Sarah Connor/Derek Reese or Sarah Connor & Derek Reese: I love the idea of these two scarred, broken people finding comfort with each other. Whether it's sharing stories of Kyle, sharing or realizing something good about their new present, or finding a little sexual comfort. For & stories, I'm fine with any genre or tone. For / stories, especially if they get sexual, I'd prefer something that's a little more about solace.

Morris & Connor-Reese Household or Morris/Cameron & Connor-Reeses: The show moved pretty fast, but what if we could slow it down so that prom actually does roll around, and canceling on Morris and skipping it would draw too much attention so they HAVE to go. Fandom/pairing specific DNW exception: In general I hate back rubs (and especially "comforting circles" drawn on backs), but for Sam and Johnny I'll allow it.

1. DRUNK PROMPTS
I have a soft spot for the idea of our resident drunk Johnny being the sober responsible one for once. Back when we only had a trailer for season three, it looked like Johnny was really dedicating himself to Miguel's recovery and Daniel was dealing with Sam being hurt, Amanda saying no more karate, as well as regret over how he left things with Robby, leaving Daniel rife with potential to be more off balance than ever before. So, maybe a slight canon divergence where Daniel gets his Drunken Miyagi moment and it's Johnny who gets him home or to the dojo and realizes just what Miyagi meant to Daniel, and how big those shoes are for Daniel to try to fill. I also wouldn't say no to a gentle "You're all right, LaRusso," call back. Or maybe a grateful "You're all right, Johnny."

For Sam and Johnny, what if somewhere in season 3, when Sam is still struggling with her mental scars after the school fight, Johnny finds her absolutely wasted and takes her home (to her empty house, because we all know how it went when drunk Sam ended up at Johnny's).

I also wouldn't mind if Johnny decides not to leave the other person home alone and ends up napping on the couch or a chair. And if it's drunk Sam, that's how Daniel and Amanda find him when they get home. Maybe he even texted them to give them a heads up, because Johnny's a mess, but he's learning. But maybe he didn't text ahead. Whatever strikes your fancy; I like both ideas.

2. SOFTER SIDES PROMPTS
In a season four slight canon divergence, maybe Daniel isn't doing so well with the re-introduction of Terry Silver in his life and it's dredging up a lot of fear and anger that's bleeding out of him to the point that Johnny realizes something is very not right. Because even though HE'S Mr. Aggression, Daniel isn't. So, let them have a talk about everything that went down that doesn't culminate in Johnny's entire response being "You got to skip to the end of the tournament?!"

For Sam, maybe in season four, she feels guilty about splitting time between Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang and rather than busting her ass about standing up and doing whatever she wants, Johnny has a talk over some ham with her, because he knows what it's like to live under the expectations of others. Whether that's living up to what Sid or Kreese wanted him to be or down to what everyone expects of him now.

Pairing: Robby Keene & Bobby Brown
Free-forms: Big Dad Energy; Abused Child Grows To Trust New Authority Figures/Guardians; accidental teenager acquisition

I'd really like a canon divergence AU where even though Johnny didn't make it to see Robby when he was in juvie, Bobby kept coming back and was a stable, nonjudgmental figure in Robby's life. Bobby doesn't abandon him like his mom or fly off the handle and cut him loose whenever he screws up like Daniel. He's just there, helping him down a better path and being someone he can trust when he doesn't trust anyone else.

And maybe, Robby helps Bobby rediscover his own love of karate and he mentors Robby instead of Kreese, and they use it as a healthy outlet for aggression and a gateway to peace and mindfulness, not as an identity in and of itself.

Also, Bobby is a pastor, so if you want to bring faith and God into it, that's fine. If you don't, that's fine, too.

I'm interested in some de-aging scenarios for Clark. The hows and the whys aren't super important to me, so don't stress too much there. Takes a blast from a random villain's ray gun? Some weird middle-age Kryptonian rite of passage? Accidentally falls into a vat of Kryptonite-laced anti-aging cream? It's all good. Just get him young. Some ideas for after:

1.AGE-APPROPRIATE MEMORY
For this, I'm thinking 8-12 range. At the very least he wakes up in a world where his powers are just developing only to find out he's in the future and his parents are dead. At the most, he wakes up with the sort of memory loss where you remember the world and like, math and whatever, but you're a big blank spot to yourself. Either way, pretty scary. What if, of everyone, Sam is the one he connects with and who can soothe him. Is it a tiny piece of his subconscious latching onto that general vibe of doing right that his fathers instilled, or something else? I feel like at the end of season one, Sam was finally really starting to get comfortable with the idea of Clark being his son-in-law. Would this be the push to really solidify that bond and make him almost more like a son?

Or what if Jordan and unpowered Jon have to take the reins on helping little Clark manage his powers while everyone else tries to age him back up. My only DNW here is that I don't want Lois to mother Clark. In fact, I'd be fine if Lois was super weirded out by it.

2. MEMORY INTACT
Wouldn't it be funny if Clark's a teenager and has to go back to high school and pretend to be a normal Kent cousin while Jon and Jordan have to keep their dad from basically embarrassing everybody. (And maybe he could learn a little more about his kids -- and they him -- along the way.)

Cassie Lang & Scott Lang: Cassie got so big, and Scott missed ALL OF IT! Let's let them reconnect either after Scott gets back from the quantum realm or post-Endgame. I'd like a slight canon divergence where Jules and Shawn have an actual wedding ceremony and reception. And Because Frank and Lloyd, both of Juliet's father figures, ultimately have a history of disappointing, it turns out last minute that neither are there to walk her down the aisle. Now, she's a strong, independent woman who's perfectly capable of walking herself down the aisle, but she shouldn't HAVE to. Which one of these fine men will stand in? Dance with her at the reception? What kind of support or comfort can Marlowe offer, before, during or after?

2. INJURED FRIEND
So, I'm kind of obsessed with all the things we didn't see after Carlton was shot in Psych 2: Lassie Come Home. How did Juliet find out? How was it when she got back to Santa Barbara? We never saw much of Marlowe and Juliet outside of that one roommate episode and the Lassiter wedding bachelorette party, but I love them as friends who have a common interest through Carlton without jealousies or anything like that. How did they support each other while he was in surgery or when they learned about his stroke on the table?

For Juliet & Carlton, What was it like afterward, when he was at the posh rehab facility, and had "sent Marlowe away," but Juliet still came back every Tuesday to visit. It's implied that Henry was around a lot, too. Did Juliet & Henry spend time together during that time? Comfort each other as the reality of what happened and what the future might look like sinks in? Talk about their fears for reckless, reckless Shawn, because if this could happen to by-the-book Carlton Lassiter, anything could happen to "psychic detective" Shawn Spencer.

Due to those early episodes where Shawn is constantly and openly flirting with Lassiter, I've always headcanoned him as having a little bit of a crush. I don't want it to go so far as angsty pining for the guy he (thinks he) can never have, but he likes him.

And early series Carlton barely lets himself think about relationships anyway outside of his ex-wife, and he's CERTAINLY not thinking about annoying, arrogant, man-child Spencer like that. And then they kiss, for whatever reason. And then everything changes. Does Shawn retreat, trying to forget the taste of forbidden fruit, or does he get more outrageous to push Lassie further away? Does the intimate moment start to make Lassie realize how much he's missed being with someone who likes being with him (because he's a detective and not blind to Spencer's flirtations, after all). Does his admiration of Spencer's mind start to bleed over into other facets so he sees the things he's always hated in a new light, despite the "psychic detective" nonsense?

The main thing I'd rather not see here, though, is for either of them to have personal sexuality angst. Ijust don't think that's the issue when it comes to why they're not an easily-matched pair.

The show has been awfully slow to give us any backstory on their relationship besides friending each other on Facebook the day Tess was born, so maybe race them to it. How did they end up together so many years later? If the "not romantic" tag wasn't one we matched on, I wouldn't mind a canon divergence of them finding comfort with each other after Jack's death before deciding neither of them are ready to really pursue that and go their separate ways before reconnecting.

Daniel LaRusso: The first two seasons did a really good job showing how Mr. Miyagi's absence paired with his history/the resurgence of Cobra Kai has left Daniel unbalanced. Other than the S3 Okinawa visit, how else might he find his balance again after season two? I also love when Daniel's Dad Instinct kicks into action, whether its getting Robby out of a bad home situation when his mom leaves or slowing things down and building up Demetri's confidence after the mall fight in 2.05 All In.

Johnny Lawrence: He is trying so hard to be better as a man, father and sensei while still staying true to himself and his love of all things badass. And every time he starts to get ahead, something goes wrong. Kreese shows up and then shows he hasn't changed since 1984. Daniel never gives Johnny the benefit of the doubt. His students go astray. Miguel is hurt and Carmen pushes him away. Play with any aspect of that all you want.

Daniel LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence: I'm interested in something that could flip the script on them a little bit. For Daniel after season two, things are bad with Robby, Sam's been hurt, Amanda has said no more karate, and that's just rife with potential for him to be more off balance than ever before. Meanwhile, Johnny is really dedicating himself to Miguel's recovery and continuing to try to be better. Maybe Daniel gets his Drunken Miyagi moment and it's Johnny who gets him home and realizes just what Miyagi meant to Daniel, and how big those shoes are for Daniel to try to fill. I also wouldn't say no to a gentle "You're all right, LaRusso," call back. Or maybe a grateful "You're all right, Lawrence." Or for something after season three, how about Johnny and Daniel figuring out how to co-teach. They might present a united front in front of the students, but what's it like when the kids aren't there? Or, can Daniel be a support for Johnny when it finally hits home that he's lost his son to John Kreese?

Amanda LaRusso/Daniel LaRusso/Johnny Lawrence: One of the frustrating things about Cobra Kai is how many times Johnny and Daniel come close to sort of fixing things between them before it all goes to shit. What if, during one such good moment, they all end up back at the LaRusso house, very very drunk, oscillating between happy and antagonistic until Amanda's finally like "Fuck it, this UST has to go, right now," and then they're all on the train to sexy fun times and awkward breakfasts.
Note: I'm not into M/M penetration or double penetration for this ship.

Johnny Lawrence & Samantha LaRusso: Johnny's dad instincts may be the size of a sapling, but they're there, and I think that would be interesting to explore with Sam. Maybe joint grousing about Daniel. Or what if Sam confronts Kreese for turning her friends into little monsters, gets in way over her head and ends up getting help from Johnny. Before a fight that she'd never win can start, during a fight, or after are all good.
DNW Exception (sort of): Though my intention with the prompt was violence related, I'd also be okay with something that could turn into sexual assault IF it's stopped before it actually does. Not in a fade to black way, but like Sam gets away or is rescued before the point of no return.

Aisha Robinson & Johnny Lawrence: I love that Johnny always calls Aisha Miss Robinson, and I feel like if it were the sort of thing he had to be told to do, we would have seen him being told. So I feel like it's mostly a respect thing, which is largely uncommented on growth for someone like Johnny. And Aisha was so upset when she lost in the tournament that clearly karate means something to her like it did for Johnny. And I just want more of them. Of all the students Johnny was a good mentor for, her and Miguel top the list. Or maybe she comes back to support the new dojo in the next tournament. Because even if she's not still doing karate, the confidence she learned and the friends she made still matter.

Carmen Diaz/Johnny Lawrence: She makes him food because she doesn't want him eating Slim Jims for breakfast. He clearly likes her but isn't hitting on her like a horny teenager. And they are so stinking adorable to me. I'd really love some pre-ship fluff or getting together before the brawl or a making up (and maybe making out?) after it, when Carmen realizes Johnny's always been trying to do right by Miguel.

John Kreese/Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz: This is a very dark one, but I have zero trouble buying Kreese as a sexual predator. Maybe he never went there with Johnny, but I could see him grooming Hawk into a mini-him, completely breaking him to build him back up in his own image. Kreese having feelings beyond wanting to dominate (as much as Kreese CAN have feelings) is optional.
DNW Exception:This is an exception for sexual violence/noncon and degradation. And if you like the underlying idea but don't want to go sexual with it, nonsexual physical abuse/violence mixed with affection is certainly in character and welcome.

Steve Harrington Note: All my Steve H. (Stranger Things) pairings are with It (2017) and operate under the idea that after Hawkins, Steve decided to be a teacher/coach and wound up in Maine and is in his first year of teaching in Derry in 1989. If you've got some other idea for how he gets there and interacts with the Losers, that's cool, too. Also, can we just pretend like Mike Wheeler and Richie Tozier aren't little doppelgangers?

Steve Harrington (Stranger Things) & Eddie Kaspbrak (IT - Muschietti): You know how sometimes a person might *want* to do something, but they're uncertain about it or self-conscious (or afraid) so it looks like they're not really trying? I kind of think that's how Eddie would be about gym class. From a health and wellness perspective, he knows physical activity is good for him and maybe he kind of even doesn't hate some of the sports and games they play, but between asthma and his mom and his bullies he never really blossoms. And then comes Steve Harrington, who sees through everything, and like he knows he'll never turn Eddie Kaspbrak into a star athlete, but if he can give the kid a little more confidence to get through class and life, he's going to take an interest.

Steve Harrington (Stranger Things) & The Losers Club (IT - Muschietti): Like the Eddie prompt but more. Maybe encouraging Ben to try a sport. Or being there for Bill because he became friends with Jonathan and realized just how it felt for him when Will was missing. Or a little annoyed by Richie, protective of Bev and interested in Stan and who that home-school kid they all hang out with is, because he's noticed the seven of them have a bond that's different from other cliques but still feels eerily familiar. I want him to have no patience for the Bowers gang.

Or just what tool does he flip from hand to hand before bashing a Pennywise projection in the head, tossing his Losers into the van he bought on the cheap and running the fuck away from monsters? And how does he react to learning about all this Derry bullshit?

Pennywise (IT-Muschietti) & Steve Harrington (Stranger Things): Maybe it's got something to do with everything he saw in Hawkins. Maybe it's something else, but for whatever reason, Steve can see Pennywise and the things it does. What does he see? What does Pennywise think of this random grown-up who can see him, when he's been exclusively the terror of the pre-teen sect for centuries?

General Sam Lane: I love Sam. He's just so complicated. He clearly loves his family -- wanting to go fishing with his grandkids, worried about their wellbeing after the move to Smallville, worried about the repercussions on Lois that come with being married and inextricably linked to Superman. He never hesitates to call on Clark, trusting that he'll be there when things get really bad. But he also oversaw a lab full of things meant to hurt -- and possibly kill -- him. I love that pragmatism of hoping for the best but planning for the worst and recognizing that his job means being able to protect the country, if not the world, if the unthinkable happens. And that's more important than how he feels about it. But then by the end of the season he's ready to chuck it all, because he knows Clark is good and strong. He trusts that he'll never turn. And not just that, when Clark's like "No, no. I think you should keep this arsenal of things that could kill me!" Sam's worried. So worried he calls Lois all "Check on your husband, because he might not be okay." So that's why I love Sam. I don't have any specific plot ideas for him, but hopefully the above paired with my likes list will spark something.

Jonathan "Jon" Kent: Honestly, I've been a little fixated on Jon from the first minute of the pilot, when he's referenced as the easy one, always happy, always smiling. Because as the season progressed it became abundantly clear that he isn't, and if it looks like he is, maybe it's because he feels an obligation to seem that way compared to Jordan's myriad troubles pre and post powers. And I can't stop thinking about everything he's lost or never had in the first place: His Metropolis friends and starting football career. His girlfriend. Every ounce of popularity. All of that is replaced with being a nobody who (pre finale) couldn't catch a break (except for his arm, badum, tish) or a date, was frequently told he was "out of Tegan's league", his brother is blossoming and spending time wit their dad, but Clark has never taken Jon flying. He's never been to the fortress and will never meet Kryptonian Grandpa, and I just see all of that as a recipe to put Jon in a very dark place but trying to deny it because he doesn't want to burden his super family with "normal" crap. (Add to that, I'm perfectly happy headcanon-ing Jon as just starting to figure out his sexuality isn't exactly straight, which can add its own layer of teen angst, especially if Metropolis ex-GF Eliza had started to pick up on it before he'd really given it thought himself.)
DNW Exception: I guess this counts as an exception to the Hiding Injury/Illness dislike, but there's just something that feels different about personal pain you can't or don't know how to talk about, especially from a kid trying to be strong, versus having a responsibility to a team and hiding something that you know makes you a liability.

Clark Kent & Jonathan "Jon" Kent Clark spent so much time with Jordan this season, and I'm dying for him to spend some time with Jon. Preferably with the context of having been largely absent while Jordan got all the attention. (And I get it; Jordan NEEDED the attention, but even with just the glimpses we got, it clearly wasn't a great time for Jon no matter how hard he tried to brush things off.)

Kyle Cushing & Clark Kent: I really like Kyle, and I'm so grateful we didn't get some long drawn out jealousy arc about Clark being Lana's ex and her best friend and Smalville's favorite son. But I wouldn't mind Kyle running into Clark after a long, bad day and airing some grievances (as long as it works out in the end). Or, what if somehow after season one, there's a situation where Clark has to do something super in front of Kyle. And because everyone is absolutely faceblind when it comes to Clark and Superman, he immediately jumps to conclusions about Clark being one of Edge's Subjekts who conveniently wasn't arounf for the de-eradicating, and Clark has to tell his secret. Or, if you'd like to incorporate Jon whump, what if Jon's in a bad way mental healthwise, and now Clark really doesn't know how to deal, but Kyle's there and can put aside whatever it is that keeps him from being buddy-buddy with Clark and offer his own perspective and support as a father with a troubled kid.

Tag Harris/Jonathan Kent: It seemed to me like they were forming a bit of a connection when Tag couldn't play football because of his broken arm and Jon couldn't play because nobody would give him a chance. In a way, they'd both gone from being somewhat popular to not at all, and that could be interesting to play with. Or maybe slight future fic where Tag's got control of his powers, but Jon is still very much outside-looking-in when it comes to the powered people of his own family, maybe they could connect that way, somehow. Or Jon starts to manifest powers and Tag's the first one who notices, idk.

Clark Kent/Lois Lane & Kent sons & Martha Kent & Sam Lane: Family holiday. Obviously pre-series, but preferably after Sam knows Clark is Superman. To stick with the theme, it could be everyone getting together before trick-or-treating once the boys aren't babies/toddlers anymore, but like Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays whatever works, too. Just put all these people in a room together. Do Martha and Sam get along?

Jonathan "Jon" Kent & Jordan Kent & Sam Lane: Pre-series. Even though Sam was never around for Lois that much, maybe he steps in a little more for the boys when they're younger, especially with Clark off Supermanning. Trick or treating?

Johnny Smith: I'm a sucker for psychic whump. That arc where Johnny's Armageddon Visions were causing blackouts and knockouts was catnip for me. I like Johnny trying to find his place in the Bannerman family. I also feel like a more interesting direction for the end of season 6 would have been for Johnny to have taken it to heart when his dad said the only way to prevent Armageddon was for Sarah marry "Johnny" (when he thought Stillson was Johnny). Like, instead of sacrificing his life to stop Armageddon, he literally decides to sacrifice his heart and let whatever could happen between Stillson and Sarah play out.

Walt Bannerman: I love how he was all-in for Sarah (and by extension JJ) pretty much instantly. But it's got to be weird given the Sarah/Johnny situation. But I really appreciate that for the most part Walt wasn't really jealous of or threatened by Johnny. Do you suppose Walt ever visited Johnny during the coma?

Greg Stillson: There was a time when I thought the series might diverge from the book and make Stillson largely a victim of his father and circumstance. Like, I could buy that he wasn't proud of who he'd been and wanted be better but felt utterly trapped, until maybe at some point he starts to buy in to his own hype, with his hunger for the power he never really felt under his father corrupting whatever good he might have been on the way to achieving.

Walt Bannerman & Johnny Smith: I like that even though there's Johnny's history with Sarah between them, there comes a point where it just stops being an issue in their friendship. I also kind of like the idea of somehow Johnny's visions temporarily transferring to Walt through some *mumble mumble handwave science magic*. Maybe it leads to Walt having a greater appreciation and understanding of what it's like to be Johnny while Johnny helps him manage it. I love people worrying about people but not necessarily confronting them until they have to, so maybe Walt sees something that makes him worry about Johnny's wellbeing or that makes him suspicious of Johnny (not infidelity related) and low-key investigates (preferably without Johnny actually being shady). I was also a really big fan of 2/3 of the episode where Johnny's just running around saving Walt's life all day.

Greg Stillson/Sarah Bannerman: I have no trouble believing that Stillson actually likes Sarah (and if you ignore the season six finale, JJ too) and just has no fucks to give about Walt or Johnny. There was largely untapped potential in Sarah's work on the Stillson campaign. Johnny was really being kind of sketchy with why he didn't like Stillson, so maybe play with that wedge or with Sarah having less time for housewifery. I'd like a little bit of them maneuvering around each other during the campaign with some attraction and chemistry and perhaps some plotting on Stillson's end. Or an AU ending where Stillson's plan worked and he got the girl and the kid and the presidency, and Armageddon is averted.

Herb Smith & Greg Stillson: So, there was that period of time where Stillson convinced Johnny's dad that he was Johnny, so Herb would use his gift to help him win at life. What does Herb think of "Johnny" being a politician? What's it like for Stillson, given his past, to receive such fatherly love, knowing that it's not really for him? Does he quietly enjoy it? Is it painful? Or does he ignore it?

JJ Smith & Johnny Smith: Johnny and JJ in Armageddon World is of particular interest, because we got so little of it. I can take or leave Johnny being blind and would be happy with anything from the early days of death and destruction to the years later struggle that we did get to see bits of. But normal series time is perfectly fine too. There's certainly plenty to mine.

Jack Carter: I'd like to extend the time Future!Jack was in season 2's present before Henry wipes his memory. How difficult is it to not have these relationships with Allie and Kevin? To handle this earlier, still a little troubled, version of Zoe? Does he ever see flashes of who he's seen them become in the people they are now? Any other slip-ups? What if one of them finds out he's seen the/a future?

Jo Lupo: Jo's in her element when it's time to fight for her town or GD. Zombies? Monstrous lab experiments? Actual monsters? It's okay, because she was special forces and has all the best toys.

Nathan Stark & Zoe Carter: I feel like Nathan would see something in Zoe. Like, he'd recognize that she's not just the delinquent daughter of the idiot sheriff. But he'd be cool about it. I also like the idea if Nathan finding Zoe after a party unintentionally gone wrong (experiment makes everybody artificially drunk or something), gets her home and waits around for Jack because Nate's a jerk, but he's not going to fuck around when the wellbeing of a kid is a factor.

Abe Morgan: So, Judd Hirsch is kind of amazing, because 98 percent of the time, he just seems so young compared to Henry. Like, there's no trouble buying them as father and son. And yet, that other 2 percent of the time, when the mortality that comes with his 70-some years of life isn't ignored, he just seems so much older and worldwise than his 234-year-old immortal father who's literally seen the world. Abe must have a very interesting headspace, and I'd like to see more of it.

Henry Morgan: Age-related Abe angst. Enjoying small pleasures. Taking stock of the good things that are/have happened in his unusually long life. Dying in front of Jo or Hanson.

Abe Morgan & Henry Morgan: Celebrating holidays or birthdays. Abe pretending to be or mistaken for Henry's father. Henry caring for an ill or injured Abe.
Minor DNW exception: Given that Henry is Abe's father, if writing something humorous, there's a little leeway/wiggle room on being treated like a child if Abe is sick or hurt.

Henry Morgan & Jo Martinez & Mike Hanson: Henry dies in front of them. Or maybe Henry is super stressed out, and they don't know why, but they're going to help him through it, because they're friends now. Or maybe post-series fic where they're all in the loop and now poor Abe isn't the only one trying to help Henry deal with emerging naked in the Hudson every time he dies.

Eddie Kaspbrak/Myra Kaspbrak: One of the things I really appreciated about adult Eddie was that he didn't have any patience for fat jokes. Weight just wasn't something he judged or assigned value to, and sure his relationship with Myra comes with a cargo plane of baggage and mommy issues, but I am very interested in the good parts of it for treats. For tricks, maybe Pennywise uses Myra to mess with him at the pharmacy in Derry. Or when he's getting ready to leave for Derry, he can't help wondering how much of Myra's reaction is genuinely hers and how much is Pennywise's influence somehow stretching so far away.

Beverly Marsh/Pennywise: Beverly probably spent more time in the deadlights than anyone. What if she came back just a little bit wrong? How fascinated is Pennywise in this girl that survived something no one else did? What if Adult Beverly can't stop thinking about the man she saw under the makeup or the monster beneath his face?

Or a reunion while they're planning the time heist. Just something!

Scott Lang or Cassie Lang & Scott Lang: Cassie got so big, and Scott missed ALL OF IT! For the pairing, let's let them reconnect either after Scott gets back from the quantum realm but before the compound or post-Endgame. For just Scott, what does he think of Teen Cassie, what growing up must have been like for her and everything he missed?

Peggy Carter & Steve Rogers: I feel like 21st Century Steve will always love Peggy to the moon but by the time he's unfrozen and she's geriatric their romance would shift to a deep, loving friendship. What do they talk about in her lucid periods? What's it like for either of them when she suddenly thinks she's seeing him again for the first time after all these years?

Carlton Lassiter: I love how dedicated Lassie is to his ideals, desires and people. He doesn't back down from what he wants, but he's also learning to be adaptable in what he wants (See: His yearslong struggle to fix things with Victoria, only to realize he didn't want to keep fighting for something that was never going to happen). I love his utter irritation for Shawn's irreverence but his respect for Shawn's talent. I love how amused he was when Shawn's Shawn-ness was directed at the SWAT guy in "Gus Walks Into A Bank" (S3E8). I love that he's always there when the chips are down, and the glimpses of insecurity we've seen about having friends and relationships. I love that he's the sort of person who, sure, he will never miss an opportunity to berate or make fun of Shawn, but despite that he's also the person Shawn ALWAYS asks for when trouble's afoot. Like somehow he cultivated this feeling of "We don't always get along (or hardly ever), but I know you'll always be there for me." I feel like they have a very interesting basis for a friendship that's nothing like Shawn and Gus's.

He definitely falls under my interest in the softer or unexpected side of prickly characters.

Shawn Spencer: Shawn is such a tight rope to walk for me. Yes, he's silly and fun, and I'm sure part of that is just his personality. But I also feel like some of it is an outlet for these observations that he can't seem to help having and leave him in the thick of serious things. We saw this a little bit in reverse with "An Evening With Mr. Yang" (S3E16) when the gravity of the situation left him unable to reach that lighter side of himself and also unable to focus. I like when Shawn makes a mockery of people who deserve it or lightens the mood in a room, and good-naturedly picks at Lassie, but I don't need or want him to be a jokester 24/7.

Carlton Lassiter & Henry Spencer: One of the things I really loved about Psych 2: Lassie Come Home was the implication that Henry had been there a lot for Carlton after the shooting and stroke. It came through obliquely in the way Henry talked to Shawn and Gus and overtly in Carlton thanking him ("For what?" "How much time you got?"). But we didn't get to SEE any of it, and I'd like to.
Or maybe something post-series with Henry walking him through some of the quirks of the house or giving advice on managing life with a baby.

Carlton Lassiter & Juliet O'Hara: The clocktower scenes in Mr. Yin Presents cemented their friendship for me. They are so protective of each other, and everything that happened to Carlton in Lassie Jerky was a lovely switch with Juliet taking point as resident badass best friend who comforts when the danger's over. Even in Office Space, he's concerned when she's acting sick and even though he didn't like one bit the idea that she might be "carrying Spencer's demon seed," there's never any indication that it was a referendum on her. They are always there for each other in big moments, but I'd love to see more of the quiet moments.

Maybe he's there for her after she breaks it off with Shawn, and even though his gut is telling him to make good on his promise to discharge his pistol repeatedly, his head and heart knows that's not what she needs.
Maybe she talks him down from some doubts about his capabilities as a husband or a father when he knows he's not the most emotionally available man or as Lily becomes more mobile and starts to show her own personality those fears about dying in the line of duty start to resurface.
Or hell, maybe they're just shooting the breeze about good times and catching up on life once they're not seeing each other on the daily, IDK. I just love their friendship. Shawn was right. They do love each other, even if it's not romantic love. And it's great.

Carlton Lassiter/Juliet O'Hara: Because I do also kind of ship them a little bit. They are perfect for an undercover fake relationship or fakeout-makeout sort of situation that sparks something between them. Or maybe it doesn't spark romance but it also doesn't hurt their friendship. It was just a thing that had to happen and maybe it was a little weird or even a little unexpectedly fun. Bottom line: However it turns out, I don't want it to precipitate a FWB situation or any sort of jealousy. They're either all-in with each other or it's just a surprising moment that's awkward and maybe eventually they'll laugh about it.

Henry Spencer & Juliet O'Hara: Juliet is family now and I feel like these two have a criminally small amount of interaction in canon. Given Juliet's complicated history with Frank and Lloyd, I'd love to see her spending time with the father-in-law who will never disappoint her. I was actually a little disappointed that Juliet wasn't pregnant and seemed really put off by the idea in Psych 2, so if you wanted to disregard that part of the movie, feel free. Maybe she's pregnant and worried about balancing being a mother and having a career and raising a kid while Shawn himself is a big kid and Henry is the first one she confides in.

Juliet O'Hara & Marlowe Lassiter: We never saw much of them outside of that one roommate episode and the bachelorette party but I love them as friends who have a common interest through Carlton without jealousies or anything like that. I'd be equally happy with fluffy friendship fic on a normal day, supporting each other on decidedly not normal days (like say after Carlton is shot six times and has a stroke on the operating table in Psych 2; I'd really like to see that news being broken to Juliet), or anything in between.

Henry Spencer & Gus Guster:I really like the idea of 80s Henry and Young Gus. Does Henry wonder how these very different kids became such good friends? I feel like Henry always hopes a little bit of Gus's good sense will rub off on a Shawn. Could there be a time when Henry is just THERE for Young Gus in a way no one else is?

Shawn Spencer [/&] Carlton Lassiter: I'd like to play with what can happen when one or both of them have their guard down. Maybe one of them after a bad day is drunk at the bar and gets helped home by the other (Ahem, From Earth To Starbucks, you could have done so much more). Maybe one of them notices a case hits the other particularly hard. Generally, I feel like Shawn, who openly flirted with Lassie in the early seasons definitely had a crush and I'm 100% fine with that being something that isn't reciprocated and instead fades into friendship or something that eventually is reciprocated (Carlton does after all have some tendencies). I think the series made it pretty clear that their friendship is always in different places with Shawn seemingly always feeling more, but it clearly eventually is a friendship and I love every step along the way of what it is and what it could be.

Regardless of & or requited or unrequited / I do think it would be awfully fun if, instead of spying undercover Juliet on Gus's dating website (Juliet Takes A Luvvah), a wrong button gets clicked and they find undercover Lassiter on the gay side and Shawn makes assumptions and proceeds to drop hints to drag Lassie out of the closet that he ay or may not be in. I was also immensely disappointed in that episode's gropey fakeout-makeout, so if you wanted to give me a better one...

Steve Harrington: Steve finds his purpose in Hawkins. Without Hopper around, I could see him joining the police force, even if it doe make him low man on the totem pole, because he KNOWS what's been out there. I could also see him coaching at the middle school or high school, maybe as an assistant who gets thrust into the head job when the main coach goes missing or gets eaten by something. Or for a few years in the future, maybe he's teaching (any grade). I just don't want Steve to be aimless forever. He doesn't need to be Mr. Wins At Life, but he needs SOMETHING, even if it's just eventual personal satisfaction.

Note: This was made before season three debuted, so my prompts are all based off seasons one, two and a little bit of a S3 trailer. Don't feel tied to that though. I'll definitely have seen the entire third season before reveals, so if you have a season 3-informed idea, go for it!

Daniel LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence: I'm interested in something that could flip the script on them a little bit. For Daniel after season two, things are bad with Robby, Sam's been hurt, Amanda has said no more karate, and that's just rife with potential for him to be more off balance than ever before. Meanwhile, it seems from the trailer like Johnny is really dedicating himself to Miguel's recovery and continuing to try to be better. Maybe Daniel gets his Drunken Miyagi moment and it's Johnny who gets him home and realizes just what Miyagi meant to Daniel, and how big those shoes are for Daniel to try to fill. I also wouldn't say no to a gentle "You're all right, LaRusso," call back. Or maybe a grateful "You're all right, Lawrence."

Daniel LaRusso & Robby Keene: I love that moment in season one, where Daniel goes to Robby's apartment and sees him with no power, no parent and eating cereal with water. It's like his Dad instinct kicked in super hard in that moment when he saw a boy who needed somebody like he needed Mr. Miyagi all those years ago. So, more on that would be good -- Daniel convincing Robby to go home with him, maybe. Or maybe their reconciliation after Daniel blows up at him. (Edit:And because I've just now seen the season 3 premiere maybe Daniel finds Robby on the run.)

Amanda LaRusso/Daniel LaRusso/Johnny Lawrence: One of the frustrating things about Cobra Kai is how many times Johnny and Daniel come close to sort of fixing things between them before it all goes to shit. What if, during one such good moment, they all end up back at the LaRusso house, very very drunk, oscillating between happy and antagonistic until Amanda's finally like "Fuck it, this UST has to go, right now," and then they're all on the train to sexy fun times and awkward breakfasts.
Note: I'm not into M/M penetration for this ship. And honestly, I'm really only into PIV sex in the context of a fortuitous id matchup of someone kinking on watching and someone kinking on being watched.

Johnny Lawrence & Samantha LaRusso: Johnny's dad instincts may be the size of a sapling, but they're there. What if Sam confronts Kreese for turning her friends into little monsters, gets in way over her head and ends up getting help from Johnny. Before a fight that she'd never win can start, during a fight, or after are all good.
DNW Exception (sort of): Though my intention with the prompt was violence related, I'd also be okay with something that could turn into sexual assault IF it's stopped before it actually does. Not in a fade to black way, but like Sam gets away or is rescued before the point of no return.

Samantha LaRusso/Robby Keeene & Daniel LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence: Brawl? What Brawl? I'd love some future fic where Sam and Robby are going off to college together or moving in together or having a baby or getting married and Daniel and Johnny finally have to deal with their shit for the sake of their kids. Probably with a lot of insults and one-upmanship And maybe both acknowledge that the other has a pretty good kid. Bonus points if Sam an Robby are playing platonic matchmakers for their dear old dads.

Aisha Robinson & Johnny Lawrence: I love that Johnny always calls Aisha Miss Robinson, and I feel like if it were the sort of thing he had to be told to do, we would have seen him being told. So I feel like it's mostly a respect thing, which is largely uncommented on growth for someone like Johnny. And Aisha was so upset when she lost in the tournament that clearly karate means something to her like it did for Johnny. And I just want more of them.

Daniel LaRusso & John Kreese & Johnny Lawrence: Similar to the Sam prompt, I love the idea of Kreese and Johnny getting into another knock-down drag-out fight (not surrounded by the students) and Daniel either shows up while it's happening and helps end the fight or he sees Johnny in bad shape afterward. Or a little bit of both. Just as long as it's not "Daniel saves defenseless Johnny by kicking John Kreese's ass" or "Watch these two guys beat the shit out of an old man." I think what this prompt boils down to for me is an opportunity for Daniel to get more insight on Johnny. I'm not a "Daniel was the Karate Kid villain all along!" person, but he does pay a lot of lip service to Johnny's bad situation in their youth while also being pretty short-tempered and judgmental when it comes to Johnny's hangups. This seems like a good opportunity to really see those vulnerabilities and re-examine his own biases.

Carmen Diaz/Johnny Lawrence: She makes him food because she doesn't want him eating Slim Jims for breakfast. He clearly likes her but isn't hitting on her like a horny teenager. And they are so stinking adorable to me. I'd really love some pre-ship fluff or getting together before the brawl or a making up (and maybe making out?) after it, when Carmen realizes Johnny's always been trying to do right by Miguel.

I kind of think that's how Eddie would be about gym class. From a health and wellness perspective, he knows physical activity is good for him and maybe he kind of even doesn't hate some of the sports and games they play, but between asthma and his mom and his bullies he never really blossoms. And then comes Steve Harrington, who sees through everything, and like he knows he'll never turn Eddie Kaspbrak into a star athlete, but if he can give the kid a little more confidence to get through class and life, he's going to take an interest.

Steve Harrington (Stranger Things) & The Losers Club (IT - Muschietti): Like the Eddie prompt but more. Maybe encouraging Ben to try a sport. Or being there for Bill because he became friends with Jonathan and realized just how it felt for him when Will was missing. Or a little annoyed by Richie, protective of Bev and interested in Stan and who that home-school kid they all hang out with is, because he's noticed the seven of them have a bond that's different from other cliques but still feels eerily familiar. I want him to have no patience for the Bowers gang.

Or just what tool does he flip from hand to hand before bashing a Pennywise projection in the head, tossing his Losers into the van he bought on the cheap and running the fuck away from monsters? And how does he react to learning about all this Derry bullshit?

Pennywise (IT-Muschietti) & Steve Harrington (Stranger Things): Maybe it's got something to do with everything he saw in Hawkins. Maybe it's something else, but for whatever reason, Steve can see Pennywise and the things it does. What does he see? What does Pennywise think of this random grown-up who can see him, when he's been exclusively the terror of the pre-teen sect for centuries?

Carlton Lassiter (Psych) & Eliot Spencer (Leverage): I can't decide if they would get along, I just know I want to see it. Also, say hello to my most useless prompt, sorry.

Eliot Spencer (Leverage) & Henry Spencer (Psych): Eliot's dad didn't approve of him going off to join the Army, but I doubt Uncle Henry would look down on it, and would probably respect it, even after Eliot dropped off the map. How's it go between them if Eliot shows up in Santa Barbara? Or maybe something from a visit in the '80s?

Eliot Spencer (Leverage) & Shawn Spencer (Psych): By my estimation, there's about a five-year gap between Eliot and Shawn, which puts them in a good place for Shawn to look up to Eliot as a kid, but as his relationship with Henry crumbles, so too does his view on Eliot, maybe. If Eliot showed up in Santa Barbara, would Shawn resent him? How would it go if they have to work together? Is there still room for him to be impressed with Eliot's fighting badassery? Anything and everything with these two interests me.

They started in such a bad place but ended in such a good one, and I really just want something from the more positive years with Quentin helping Oliver through a bad time. Physically or emotionally. Maybe he's been really hurt and can't get to a hospital. Maybe it's Moira's birthday and her loss is hitting him hard this year. Maybe it's those early struggles with William. Could be anything really, but I prefer just the two of them and to not have drunkenness be a factor.

Caitlin Snow/Ralph Dibney (Arrowverse): I am totally here for Ralph pining for Caitlin, even though he totally blew off what might have maybe potentially been a kiss one time. Maybe he was just protecting himself! But he was just so invested in helping her get Frost back and they spent so much time together and I just want it to mean more.

Caitlin Snow/Ralph Dibney& Killer Frost (Arrowverse): I also really like the idea that Ralph wants to be with Caitlin and he wants to be besties with Frost. And I really like the idea of her picking up on Ralph's feelings (maybe even before Ralph!), and making it her mission to help him. And while this might normally fall under something a little too dubconny for Caitlin's body for me (and maybe only just *barely* fits the tag), I kind of like the idea that Ralph is surprisingly nervous about being physical with Caitlin (probably after he's made a move and they've decided to go on a date or two) and Frost talks him into some "we're friends and this means nothing" practice with pointers. Could be kissing, could be more. (This would be an exception to DNW-established noncanon relationship)

Johnny Smith & Walt Bannerman or Johnny Smith/Walt Bannerman: I really dig Johnny & Walt. I really dig blossoming Johnny/Walt if something has happened to Sarah. I'm also a sucker for some Johnny whump of the psychic variety. Season four, when he was blacking out and in pain from the Armageddon visions was my catnip, and even though Sarah had his power of attorney when it looked like there was going to be a brain surgery, I love that it was Walt we saw waiting.

I also kind of like the idea of somehow Johnny's visions temporarily transferring to Walt through some *mumble mumble handwave science fiction*. Maybe it leads to Walt having a greater appreciation and understanding of what it's like to be Johnny while Johnny helps him manage it. I love people worrying about people but not necessarily confronting them until they have to, so maybe Walt sees something that makes him worry about Johnny's wellbeing or that makes him suspicious of Johnny (not Sarah infidelity related) and low-key investigates (preferably without Johnny actually being shady). I was also a really big fan of 2/3 of the episode where Johnny's just running around saving Walt's life all day.

Greg Stillson/Sarah Bannerman: I have no trouble believing that Stillson actually likes Sarah (and if you ignore the season six finale, JJ too) and just has no fucks to give about Walt or Johnny. I'd like a little bit of them maneuvering around each other during the campaign with some attraction and chemistry and perhaps some plotting on Stillson's end or an AU ending where Stillson's plan worked and he got the girl and the kid and the presidency, and Armageddon is averted.

Johnny Smith & Sarah Bannerman or Johnny Smith & Sarah Bannerman & Walt Bannerman: Make. Them. Friends. Love triangles and jealousies and whatnot are my least favorite things. So let's just be moved beyond to co-parenting friends who care about one another. (I mean, Walt and Sarah can still be married if you're here for JSW, but I'm not looking for romance.)

Jo Martinez & Mike Hanson: I have a big soft spot for partner friends. My heart melts a little bit when Hanson sees Jo struggling and invites her over to dinner (swearing to make his boys behave), and I would just love more of their friendship. We've been given glimpses of him being there for her, and that's a great way to go, but I'm also into how she's been there for him and his family. Or if you want to go a completely different direction, they just saw Henry die and disappear, what the hell was that?

Eddie Kaspbrak/Myra Kaspbrak: One of the things I really appreciated about adult Eddie was that he didn't have any patience for fat jokes. Weight just wasn't something he judged or assigned value to, and sure his relationship with Myra comes with a cargo plane of baggage and mommy issues, but I am very interested in the good parts of it.

Beverly Marsh/Pennywise: Beverly probably spent more time in the deadlights than anyone. What if she came back just a little bit wrong? How fascinated is Pennywise in this girl that survived something no one else did? What if Adult Beverly can't stop thinking about the man she saw under the makeup or the monster beneath his face?

Note: Prompts may reference anything from Psych seasons 1-8 through Psych 2: Lassie Come Home. LCH is new enough that I'll make those bits highlightable to avoid spoiling people.

Carlton Lassiter & Henry Spencer: One of the things I really loved about Psych 2: Lassie Come Home was the implication that Henry had been there a lot for Carlton after the shooting and stroke. It came through obliquely in the way Henry talked to Shawn and Gus and overtly in Carlton thanking him ("For what?" "How much time you got?"). But we didn't get to SEE any of it, and I'd like to.
Or maybe something post-series with Henry walking him through some of the quirks of the house or giving advice on managing life with a baby.

Carlton Lassiter & Juliet O'Hara: The clocktower scenes in Mr. Yin Presents cemented their friendship for me. They are so protective of each other, and everything that happened to Carlton in Lassie Jerky was a lovely switch with Juliet taking point as resident badass best friend who comforts when the danger's over. They are always there for each other, but I'd love to see more of the quiet moments. Maybe he's there for her after she breaks it off with Shawn, and even though his gut is telling him to make good on his promise to discharge his pistol repeatedly, his head and heart knows that's not what she needs. Or maybe she talks him down from some doubts about his capabilities as a husband or a father when he knows he's not the most emotionally available man or as Lily becomes more mobile and starts to show her own personality those fears about dying in the line of duty start to resurface. Or hell, maybe they're just shooting the breeze about good times and catching up on life once they're not seeing each other on the daily, IDK. I just love their friendship. Shawn was right. They do love each other, even if it's not romantic love. And it's great. And I really wish we could have seen shooting news from Psych 2 being broken to her, but that might fit better with a different pairing.

Carlton Lassiter & Shawn Spencer: I love their progression over the course of the canon. Season one, you've got Shawn practically openly flirting with Lassiter, and Lassiter plainly cannot stand him. Over time the flirting dies down but Shawn is *always* looking out for Lassie in his own way, and Lassie's always his go-to guy when there's real trouble (notably Shawn Gets the Yips and Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark). And for Lassiter his dislike for Shawn grows to a grudging respect cloaked in prickly impatience to the occasional glimpse of friendliness until we get to season eight, where Lassiter is finally referring to the team as a team and in Somebody's Got A Woody when Shawn and Gus antic their way into a dangerous situation, his first response isn't "Get out of here you idiots, you'll ruin everything!" but "What are you doing here? You could get shot!" Shawn also always just seems really charmed by Lassie's quirks, like his smile over squirrelassasssins.com in Not Even Close Encounters. And then you get to Lassie Come Home again and I got all wibbly over Shawn's little smile as he was reading Lassie's 93-item to do list, including "Eliminate hippies." And then he was holding Lassie's hand while sleeping in a chair next to him and it was my everything. Their friendship is always in different places with Shawn seemingly always feeling more, but it clearly eventually is a friendship and I love every step along the journey.

I'm sorry, this is less prompt and more "Look how much I love gen Shassie (with a side of one-sided interest that fades to deeper friendship)." But really, I'd take just about anything that isn't a Shassie romance. Though, I do think it would be awfully fun if, instead of spying undercover Juliet on Gus's dating website (Juliet Takes A Luvvah), a wrong button gets clicked and they find undercover Lassiter on the gay side and Shawn gets the wrong idea and proceeds to drop hints and whatnot because he's pretty sure Lassie would be happier if he wasn't so far in the closet with everyone he knows.

Or maybe instead of letting Carlton pass out on the floor in From the Earth to Starbucks, Shawn takes him home and puts him to bed. Whether he stays or goes, Lassiter would probably be horrified the next morning to know 1) He got sloppy drunk in front of Spencer, of all people; 2) Spencer drove his car; 3) Spencer was in his house [and know where he lives] and 4) Maybe he doesn't mind all that much? It was a nice gesture after all, especially for Spencer.

Carlton Lassiter/Marlowe Lassiter: Carlton is so sweet with Marlowe and I love it! There's an almost nothing, blink and you'd miss it moment (I think in Let's Doo-Wap Again), where he's visiting her in prison and when a fight breaks out they lean in and steal a kiss amid the chaos but it was so adorable. I'd love some navigating the world as newlyweds or new parents, or dealing with Lassiter's demotion.

Henry Spencer & Juliet O'Hara: Juliet is family now and I feel like these two have a criminally small amount of interaction in canon. Given Juliet's complicated history with Frank and Lloyd, I'd love to see her spending time with the father-in-law who will never disappoint her. I was actually a little disappointed that Juliet wasn't pregnant and seemed really put off by the idea in Psych 2, so if you wanted to disregard that part of the movie, feel free. Maybe she's pregnant and worried about balancing being a mother and having a career and raising a kid while Shawn himself is a big kid and Henry is the first one she confides in.

Juliet O'Hara & Marlowe Lassiter: We never saw much of them outside of that one roommate episode and the bachelorette party but I love them as friends who have a common interest through Carlton without jealousies or anything like that. I'd be equally happy with fluffy friendship fic on a normal day, supporting each other on decidedly not normal days (like say after Carlton is shot six times and has a stroke in Psych 2), or anything in between.

Miles Morales & Peter Parker: Not gonna lie, I spent a chunk of this movie disappointed that Miles wouldn't get to learn from a very eager to teach Peter. I came around to Peter B., but I still lament what could have been. So, let's explore that in a canon divergence. What's it like for Peter to meet someone who's like him? What are his fears for Miles? Peter has to have a unique perspective when it comes to swinging into danger at such a young age, so I don't think he'd be all "protect the baby!" about Miles, but there has to be some mistakes he'd like to help him avoid. How's training go? IDK, maybe practicing with webshooters? Or Miles accidentally venom strikes Peter and he's all spikey-haired and sort of smoking? But it's kind of funny?

Miles Morales & Spider-Man Noir: I was struck by Miles' graffiti and just how colorful it was, especially in contrast to Noir's world of grays. Also, when you factor in that Noir seemed like an older Spider-Man and Miles is one of the youngest, it's just one more way that they're contrasted. Yet, despite that, for fic I really want to see them relate in some way. For art, the only sort-of idea I had was maybe Miles hands Noir his Rubik's Cube and as he does so, the color just starts to bleed into Noir (or vice versa with Noir's grays bleeding into Miles).I'm not married to that, though. I just really like the colorful and gray dynamic.

Miguel Rivas & The Big 3: The boys of The Big 3 were such jerks to Miguel after Jack died and when he got with Rebecca like a decade later. Maybe they gain some awareness (or Kate forces it on them) and together they plan a birthday part or something for Miguel to thank him for everything he did for them as kids and teens and for making Rebecca happy and in love again.

Miguel Rivas/Rebecca Pearson: I wouldn't mind a canon divergence of them finding comfort with each other after Jack's death before deciding neither of them are ready to really pursue that and go their separate ways. Or, the show has been awfully slow to give us any backstory on their relationship besides friending each other on Facebook the day Tess was born, so maybe race them to it. How did they end up together so many years later?

"The Care and Feeding of-": I really hate this idea that characters can't take care of themselves and need reminded to eat and dragged off to bed for sleep or they have a cold, so now must be spoonfed their chicken soup. Bring someone a sandwich, sure. Stand there and admonish them until they eat it? No.
"[Character] is a little shit" tag: Even if it is an accurate and in-character summation, something about that tag to describe it grinds my gears and negatively colors anything it touches. Please don't use it.
Comforting back rubs/"circles": I like my backrubs to be in service of sexy times or de-stressing after a long day. For comfort while distraught, I much prefer a steady hand or a hug or something.
Coming out to a group: Totally on board with one-on-one, maybe two, just not gathering the team/crew/class/family together for an announcement.

FANDOMS/PROMPTS

AGENTS OF SHIELD
My prompts this year are season 7 based, so skip on down if you haven't seen it and don't want to be spoiled.

Coulson: Season 7's handling of Coulson was very well done, I thought, and I like to see more of it. He went from absolutely not wanting to be brought back in any form, to suddenly being an LMD and struggling a little bit with it, to finding the positives while still feeling a little uncertain of it all.

Trick: Focusing on the negatives, like outliving everyone.
Trick: A spooky/scary programming glitch or being trapped in his Max Headroom state.
Treat: Being an LMD does have its advantages.

Daisy: I love her personal growth over seven seasons and the relationships she's made, both romantic and otherwise. Any personal introspection thereof would be great.

Daniel Sousa: First off, I love that Sousa was brought into Agents of SHIELD. It's got to be such a huge adjustment for him. New people. New tech. Everything he left behind. This can be as light or as dark as you want, but this is definitely one where I want to avoid public embarrassment/humiliation. Basically, I'm really wary of "Modern Things Scare Sousa" but if it's a legit "This would scare ANYBODY, especially the guy from the 1940s" that could work)

Character Combos: I love the father-daughter vibe Coulson and Daisy developed over the course of the series. There wasn't a ton of time for character-driven stuff in season seven, and I crave more. This season feels a little unique in that, sure there's the general threat to reality, but their personal threats are less. Coulson isn't dying. Daisy isn't struggling with her powers or identity. They're in a good place to just BE emotionally and I'd like to take a moment for that. Let them have a chat.

I also really like Daisy and Sousa heading toward Daisy/Sousa. And in the same vein, I kind of like the idea of Coulson, who's always looked at Sousa as a legendary childhood hero, now seeing him as a man who could be/is good for Daisy. Maybe he sees their flirtiness before they even realize they're doing it. Or maybe Daisy or Sousa go to Coulson when they start to realize there's something there. Just no shovel-talks, please. And while I'd be into post-series Daisy/Sousa, I'd like it light and fluffy and not really having a ton to do with their space mission.

COBRA KAI
Daniel LaRusso: The show so far is doing a really good job showing how Mr. Miyagi's absence paired with his history/the resurgence of Cobra Kai has left Daniel unbalanced. How does he find his balance again after seasosn two? Or for something earlier in the series: I loved when Sam asks what he knows about Robby's home life, and when he shows up, he finds Robby in the dark, eating cereal with water because there wasn't any milk. It's just...that moment when he realizes this child is struggling in a way no kid should have to deal with and probably doesn't even realize how messed up it is...I feel like I saw Daniel's Dad Instinct kick into action with one look and I'd like more of that. Ditto for the way he dealt with Demetri after the mall fight in 2.05 All In.

Johnny Lawrence: He is trying so hard to be better as a man, father and sensei while still staying true to himself and his love of all things badass. And every time he starts to get ahead, something goes wrong. Kreese shows up and then shows he hasn't changed since 1984. Daniel never gives Johnny the benefit of the doubt. His students go astray. Miguel is hurt and Carmen pushes him away. Play with any aspect of that all you want.

John Kreese: This asshole. He never said it until the finale, but it's clear he hates the direction Johnny is taking Cobra Kai as he proceeds to undermine him and steal the dojo away. For a singular Kreese prompt, maybe really focus in on his disappointment and anger at all of it.

Miguel, Hawk and Robby (listed together just to save space and time): They're all going through changes, Miguel as he tries to balance the confidence and power Cobra Kai has given him with Johnny's new lessons on honor and mercy and Kreese's less honorable instruction, Hawk as he just falls deeper into the darkness of old Cobra Kai, and Robby as he tries to find a family either with the LaRussos or when that falls apart and the only one he can turn to is Johnny. Explore.

Character Combos: Man, I love me some fathers and father figures, so anything dealing with Daniel & Robby, Johnny & Robby or Johnny & Miguel is right up my alley. Also Johnny and Kreese if we're talking bad father figures. I also like Johnny and Daniel working their issues out (if future fic, maybe they're forced to for the sake of Sam/Robby). Or maybe Johnny finds himself unexpectedly in a position to help Sam. I also like the idea of Kreese and Johnny getting into a knock-down drag-out fight (not surrounded by the students) and Daniel either shows up while it's happening and helps take Kreese down or he sees Johnny in bad shape afterward. Or a little bit of both. Just as long as it's not "Daniel saves defenseless Johnny from Kreese."

DNW Exceptions: This is a very dark one, but I have zero trouble buying Kreese as a sexual predator. Maybe he never went there with Johnny, but I could see him grooming Hawk into a mini-him and breaking Miguel if for no other reason than to hurt Johnny. This is an exception for sexual violence/noncon and degradation. And if you like the underlying idea but don't want to go sexual with it, nonsexual physical abuse/violence is certainly in character and welcome.

DEAD ZONE
Johnny Smith: I'm a sucker for psychic whump. That arc where Johnny's Armageddon Visions were causing blackouts and knockouts was catnip for me. I like Johnny trying to find his place in the Bannerman family. I also feel like a more interesting direction for the end of season 6 would have been for Johnny to have taken it to heart when his dad said the only way to prevent Armageddon was for Sarah marry "Johnny" (when he thought Stillson was Johnny). Like, instead of sacrificing his life to stop Armageddon, he literally decides to sacrifice his heart and let whatever could happen between Stillson and Sarah play out.

Walt Bannerman: I love how he was all-in for Sarah (and by extension JJ) pretty much instantly. But it's got to be weird given the Sarah/Johnny situation. But I really appreciate that for the most part Walt wasn't really jealous of or threatened by Johnny. Maybe explore that, either during Johnny's gap or after the wakeup. Do you suppose Walt ever visited sleeping Johnny?

Sarah Bannerman: I appreciate that Sarah's in a tough spot. It's hard loving two people. I definitely prefer her with Walt than Johnny, so maybe something about making her choice between them. Or just focus on how she handles her relationship with Johnny shifting into a friendship that's so deep she's the one he leaves in charge of his medical stuff if he can't make decisions for himself during his Armageddon Vision troubles. Or, even though season six isn't my favorite and I really miss Walt, maybe something about her grieving process as she struggles with a new baby and everything else (I was really touched by her comments on the house they'd just moved into that she hates now because there wasn't time to build memories with Walt in it). I like that she had to get a break from Johnny during that time and that they ultimately came back together as even better friends but not lovers.

JJ Bannerman: Visions for JJ? (Canon-divergence welcome, because I wasn't overly fond of season 6. Maybe give JJ visions earlier in the series.)

Greg Stillson: There was a time when I thought the series might diverge from the book and make Stillson largely a victim of his father and circumstance. Like, I could buy that he wasn't proud of who he'd been and wanted be better but was utterly trapped. Maybe there's something to play with there. Or what if he's not really a great guy, but really does like Sarah and JJ and just has no fucks to give about Johnny and Walt?

Character Combos: Got a few ideas here.

I really dig Johnny & Walt. I like blossoming Johnny/Walt if something has happened to Sarah, and Johnny/Sarah/Walt if it's not too awkward. Maybe less "we decided to try a threesome and hope it's not weird!" and more "we were soooo drunk" or all this tension between the three of them finally snapped after a rough day.
I also kind of like the idea of somehow Johnny's visions transfer to Walt through some *mumble mumble handwave science? magic?*.
- Maybe it leads to Walt having a greater appreciation and understanding of what it's like to be Johnny.
- I love people worrying about people but not necessarily confronting them until they have to, so maybe Walt sees something that makes him worry about Johnny's wellbeing.
- Or maybe Walt sees something that makes him suspicious of Johnny (not Sarah infidelity related) and low-key investigates (peferably without Johnny actually being shady)
I also feel like there was largely untapped potential in Sarah's work on the Stillson campaign. Johnny was really being kind of sketchy with why he didn't like Stillson, so maybe play with that wedge or with Sarah having less time for housewifery.
Johnny and JJ in Apocalypse World

FOREVER
Abe Morgan: So, Judd Hirsch is kind of amazing, because 98 percent of the time, he just seems so young compared to Henry. Like, there's no trouble buying them as father and son. And yet, that other 2 percent of the time, when the mortality that comes with his 70-some years of life isn't ignored, he just seems so much older and worldwise than his 234-year-old immortal father who's literally seen the world. Abe must have a very interesting headspace, and I'd like to see more of it.

Henry Morgan: Age-related Abe angst. Enjoying small pleasures. Taking stock of the good things that are/have happened in his unusually long life. Dying in front of Jo or Hanson.

Character combos: Henry and Abe fluff. Suggestions:

Celebrating holidays or birthdays
Abe pretending to be Henry's father

Exception to the Care and Feeding DNW: Henry caring for a (not terminally) hurt or sick Abe.

MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE

Nebula: Navigating life post-Snap. Tony didn't interact with her AT ALL after they made it to Earth in Endgame. Was that just a failing of the movie, or do you suppose she really was alone with just Rocket on this new world? If she was, why did she stay and become part of the team? I also like the idea of Nebula pushing Tony into building a new, simple life with Pepper.

Scott Lang: Cassie got so big, and he missed ALL OF IT!

Cassie Lang: Scott disappeared after the snap, but what about her mom and Paxton? Were they there or was she all alone? How'd she handle it in the first days/weeks/months/years?

Mr. Harrington: Harrington really got handed the buffoon's role in Far From Home, and I don't remember it being that bad in Homecoming. So I'm more interested in the Hoco era, particularly his thoughts on Peter Parker, Peter's priorities, and this kind of sketchy sounding time suck of an internship.

Character combos: Scott and Cassie reconnect after either Snap.

Psych
At present, I've only seen through S4E12: A Very Juliet Episode. I'll probably finish season 4 before ToT is over, but please avoid anything from seasons 5-7.

Carlton Lassiter: I love how dedicated Lassie is to his ideals, desires and people. He doesn't back down from what he wants, but he's also learning to be adaptable in what he wants (See: His yearslong struggle to fix things with Victoria, only to realize he didn't want to keep fighting for something that was never going to happen). I love his utter irritation for Shawn's irreverence but his respect for Shawn's talent. I love how amused he was when Shawn's Shawn-ness was directed at the SWAT guy in "Gus Walks Into A Bank" (S3E8). I love that he's always there when the chips are down, and the glimpses of insecurity we've seen about having friends and relationships. I love that he's the sort of person who, sure, he will never miss an opportunity to berate or make fun of Shawn, but despite that he's also the person Shawn ALWAYS asks for when trouble's afoot. Like somehow he cultivated this feeling of "We don't always get along (or hardly ever), but I know you'll always be there for me." I feel like they have a very interesting basis for a friendship that's nothing like Shawn and Gus's.

He definitely falls under my interest in the softer or unexpected side of prickly characters.

Henry Spencer: I don't see Henry as an abusive dad or a bad dad or whatever was clearly the popular opinion in the early days of Psych fic. I think he didn't really know how to handle Shawn's personality as a child and Shawn has never made it easy as a child or an adult. Maybe he didn't always do the right thing or reach Shawn where he was in life, but he clearly loves him and tries. I get the feeling that Shawn's mom definitely got to be the fun parent who encouraged Shawn's lightness and love of movies, but wasn't around much for the actual day to day raising of him, and I think that makes a difference, especially when you consider Henry's job was not inconsequential and to also handle the bulk of parenting? Of course there will be clashes and missteps.

Henry is worried or afraid for Shawn (or finally can relax when things are fine). Maybe something surrounding the motorcycle accident mentioned in season one that's the impetus for all Shawn's parking tickets or something to do with "Shawn Take A Shot In The Dark."
Henry digs deep and plans something fun for Shawn as a child or an adult.
Canon divergence: Shawn's mom left when he was a kid and Henry makes the conscious decision to let Shawn blame him/not let him hate his mom over it.

Juliet O'Hara: I didn't care much for Juliet at first, because she was SO GREEN, but she's really grown on me. About the only time I haven't liked her was around mid-season 4 when she was being unusually cold to Shawn (I guess technically he'd just accused her brother of murder an episode or two prior) and acting like they'd ever done anything more than sort of flirt and things were weird in a bad way between them (A Very Juliet Episode was just WEIRD, okay?). But I love that in general she has an abundance of patience for Shawn and is amused by him. She's like the opposite end of the spectrum as Lassie. I love how her relationship with Carlton has grown from "green detective paired with best detective" to true partners and friends.

Juliet has a bad day.

Burton "Gus" Guster: Gus is so fun to me. He's definitely the responsible straight man to Shawn's comedian, but he can also rise up to bring some humor of his own. He gets Shawn in a way no one else does, but that doesn't mean he's never annoyed by him. The only time I haven't liked Gus was when he was a jerk about Shawn and Joy.

Gus's expertise helps the SBPD solve a case.

Iris Vick: Future fic (near or canon-divergent) dealing with her perspective on these characters. See them through her eyes.

Character combos: I'm down for casefic that hits someone in a personal way. But also:

Carlton/Juliet: They are perfect for an undercover fake relationship/fakeout-makeout sort of situation sparking something between them. Or maybe it doesn't spark romance but it also doesn't hurt their friendship. It was just a thing that had to happen and maybe it was a little weird or even a little unexpectedly fun. Bottom line: However it turns out, I don't want it to precipitate a FWB situation or any sort of jealousy. They're either all-in or it's just a surprising moment, and Shawn isn't a factor at all.
Henry is everyone's dad: Not literally, but I like the idea of him being someone people would come to for advice (that may or may not be good) or help. I also really like the idea of 80s Henry and Young Gus. Does Henry wonder how this very different kids became such good friends? I feel like Henry always hopes a little bit of Gus's good sense will rub off on a Shawn. Could there be a time when Henry is just THERE for Young Gus in a way no one else is/could be?
Lassie has a connection with Iris: Maybe as a baby. he's the only one who can stop her from crying when Chief Vick has to bring her to the station one day. Maybe as a child she just gravitates to him. As a teen, he's the one she calls when a party gets out of hand, or he's there when a relationship goes bad.
Shawn/Lassie; Shawn & Lassie: I'd like to play with what can happen when one or both of them have their guard down. Maybe one of them after a bad day is drunk at the bar and gets helped home by the other. Maybe one of them notices a case hits the other particularly hard. Or somebody is just having a bad day.
Leverage Crossover: Cousin Eliot is in town. How does that go? I don't know that Eliot and Shawn would get along, but what about everyone else? Is it a social call or is Team Leverage there and about to pull something off?

THIS IS US
Miguel: Man, poor Miguel always got the short end of the stick with the Pearson kids. He was always there for them as kids -- and even seemed to have a really good relationship with Kevin -- but then Jack dies and things seemed to almost instantly change. ESPECIALLY with Kevin! And it's not like he was horning in on Rebecca! They didn't even reconnect until, what? A decade or more later? I've always liked Miguel and I want him to get a little more fic love.

Hello! Thank you for writing for me! I don't know what fandom brought us together, but I hope I've provided plenty of helpful information. In this letter, you'll find general likes and dislikes as well as prompts that start with a basic description followed by some extra, optional details for each pairing. Some of my prompts might be quite long or cover a lot of ground, but you won't disappoint me in the slightest if you want to pull out a nugget from one of them to focus on. CROSSOVER FANDOMS (Fic)

A Steve Harrington note: All my Steve H. (Stranger Things) pairings are with It (2017) and operate under the idea that after Hawkins, Steve decided to be a teacher/coach and wound up in Maine and is in his first year of teaching in Derry in 1989. Also, can we just pretend like Mike Wheeler and Richie Tozier aren't little doppelgangers?

Pairing: Steve Harrington (Stranger Things) & Eddie Kaspbrak (It-Muschietti)

Gym class: You know how sometimes a person might *want* to do something, but they're uncertain about it or self-conscious (or afraid) so it looks like they're not really trying? I kind of think that's how Eddie would be about gym class. From a health and wellness perspective, he knows physical activity is good for him and maybe he kind of even doesn't hate some of the sports and games they play, but between asthma and his mom and his bullies he never really blossoms. And then comes Steve Harrington, who sees through everything, and like he knows he'll never turn Eddie Kaspbrak into a star athlete, but if he can give the kid a little more confidence to get through class and life, he's going to take an interest.

Pairing: Steve Harrington (Stranger Things) & The Losers Club (It-Muschietti)

Derry's only good adult?: I still want Steve to be the gym teacher reaching out to Eddie and encouraging Ben to try a sport. I want him to be the guy who's there for Bill because he became friends with Jonathan and realized just how it felt for him when Will was missing. I want him to be a little annoyed by Richie and protective of Bev and interested in who that home-school kid they all hang out with is, because he's noticed the seven of them have a bond that's different from other cliques but still feels eerily familiar. I want him to have no patience for the Bowers gang.

And mostly I want to know just what tool he flips around from hand to hand before bashing a Pennywise projection in the head, tossing his Losers into the van he bought on the cheap and running the fuck away from wherever they are that Pennywise is and how he reacts to learning about all this Derry bullshit.

Pairing: Steve Harrington (Stranger Things) & Pennywise (It-Muschietti)

Seeing the monster: Maybe it's got something to do with everything he saw in Hawkins. Maybe it's something else, but for whatever reason, Steve can see Pennywise and the things it does. What does he see? What does Pennywise think of this random grown-up who can see him, when he's been exclusively the terror of the pre-teen sect for centuries?

Pairing: Steve Rogers (MCU) & Johnny & Sue Storm (Fantastic Four 2005-2007)

Family relations: So, I'm kind of hung up on this idea that Bucky, thinking he's doing a good thing, secretly pays for Steve's first time and then pays for her to go away when she gets pregnant. But regardless of how she came into or left Steve's life, they obviously weren't together by the beginning Captain America but here we are sometime in the 21st century and now he's got two young adult great-grandkids who happen to have super powers knocking on his door. I want to explore THAT idea, with Steve probably being devastated about the family he didn't know he'd left behind but also happy to have those ties, and Johnny just being pissed because by now Steve's been awake for years and he didn't think to look for anybody? (And maybe it also took the Storms some time to put the pieces together). Sue just wants to mediate and get to know her great-grandfather and introduce him to Reed, but I also like the idea that the impetus for them being there is that she's sick and they think some combination of the serum and their shared DNA will help find a cure.

DC'S ARROWVERSE (Fic)

Pairing: Oliver Queen & Quentin Lance (Arrowverse)

Hurt/Comfort: I really love the way Oliver and Quentin grew over the course of the series. They started in such a bad place but ended in such a good one, and I really just want something from the more positive years with Quentin helping Oliver through a bad time. Physically or emotionally. Maybe he's been really hurt and can't get to a hospital. Maybe it's Moira's birthday and her loss is hitting him hard this year. Maybe it's those early struggles with William. Could be anything really, but I prefer just the two of them and to not have drunkenness be a factor.

Pairing: Ralph Dibney/Caitlin Snow (Arrowverse)

Pining: I am totally here for Ralph pining for Caitlin, even though he totally blew off what might have maybe potentially been a kiss one time. Maybe he was just protecting himself! But he was just so invested in helping her get Frost back and they spent so much time together and I just want it to mean more.

Pairing: Ralph Dibney/Caitlin Snow & Killer Frost (Arrowverse)

WingFrosty: I also really like the idea that Ralph wants to be with Caitlin and he wants to be besties with Frost. And I really like the idea of her picking up on Ralph's feelings (maybe even before Ralph!), and making it her mission to help him. And while this might normally fall under something a little too dubconny for Caitlin's body to me (and maybe only just *barely* fits the tag), I kind of like the idea that Ralph is surprisingly nervous about being physical with Caitlin (probably after he's made a move and they've decided to go on a date or two) and Frost talks him into some "we're friends and this means nothing" practice with pointers.

MCU (Fic)

Pairing: Nebula & Tony Stark

Time on Earth: One of the most disappointing things about Endgame to me was that we got those amazing spaceship moments between Tony and Nebula and then ... nothing once they're on Earth. And the only way I can reconcile what looks an awful lot like him abandoning her is if she's the one who gives him the nudge/"permission" to leave and go find happiness wherever and however he can with Pepper. Maybe explore that. Or him introducing her to what's left of the world. Or their reunion as they all come back to plan the time heist.

Pairing: Peggy Carter & Steve Rogers

Young & Old: I feel like 21st Century Steve will always love Peggy to the moon but by the time he's unfrozen and she's geriatric their romance would shift to a deep, loving friendship . What do they talk about in her lucid periods? What's it like for either of them when she suddenly thinks she's seeing him again for the first time after all these years (which may or may not be the complete distance between 1945 and 2014 in her head)?

Pairing: Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanov
Note: The & prompt could also be taken into / territory if desired.

Endgame's 5-year gap: I kind of see them being largely alone together at the compound, maybe a little sad and a lot lonely and kind of jaded until one night they just explode with a scorching hot desk/counter/table-clearing release of sexual tension. Maybe Steve comes to his senses before it progresses too far but they kind of talk themselves into a friends with benefits situation. And when they make it to the bedroom it's a much slower, tender experience for their first time together. Bonus points if Nat - who once asked if their Winter Soldier kiss was his first since 1945 - is rendered utterly speechless as he eats her out like a champ.

But I also like the idea that they're not endgame (if you'll pardon that pun). Maybe what starts out as finding comfort with each other in this fucked up new world becomes something that holds both of them back as Nat can't let go of trying to hold the universe together and Steve wants to try to move on (not that he ever really can, but he wants to try) and so they get more physically distant and eventually stop sleeping together, but by then their emotional bond has grown to something greater than anyone expected.

Pairing: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov
Undercover/Fake relationship: For SHIELD spy reasons they have to go undercover in the suburbs (maybe part of Steve's cover is that he's always mistaken for Cap or maybe it doesn't matter at all) and along the way they learn unexpected things/vulnerabilities/insecurities/cliches or have living-together shenanigans of your choice.

Pairing: Steve Rogers/OMC

First 21st century romance: In Winter Soldier, Steve tells Nat "That was not my first kiss since 1945. I'm old, not dead," and I've wanted to know more about that kiss ever since. I'd really like Steve to just have a completely unexpected normal meet-cute with someone who doesn't have anything to do with the superhero/SHIELD business. Someone who helps ease his transition into the new world. Maybe he's who suggests Steve's list. Pretty free rein on this character -- he could be anybody in their 20s in New York or DC. A young veteran. A creative type grinding out a living. A law student. A veterinarian. An activist or social worker, IDK. Just somebody Steve can be happy with in an inconspicuous relationship before they both realize they want incompatible things in life and neither wants to hold the other back so they amicably split in time for Steve to be awkwardly single in Cap 2. Just, be gentle and caring with a Steve who may privately still be in a dark place after waking up in the 21st century without anything or anyone from his old life. This can be pre-Avengers, but I also like the idea of it being post-Avengers, with the added layer of drama where he's got these new friends who he's getting closer to, but when it comes to sexuality and all that 70-years-later loss, he's still very guarded (and very good at keeping his secrets).

Pairing: Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson

21st century life support: If I had my wish, I'd stretch the timeline between Steve and Sam meeting and all the HydraSHIELD stuff out by several months. Because I really like the idea of them becoming friends. Maybe they go from people who work out at the same time to workout buddies to reccers of music and movies. I also like the idea of Steve going to some of Sam's veteran support groups and they kind of learn that even though their wars are separated by 50/60/70 years, a lot of the demons are the same.

Pairing: Steve Rogers/Tony Stark

Pairing specific preference: Should penetrative sex be an element, I'm absolutely here for switching, but if there's only one go-round, I generally prefer Top Steve/Bottom Tony. (Steve can give all the blowjobs he wants, though.)

Fake out/make out: On some sort of mission that needs something a little more subtle than a red and gold suit of armor and giant spangly shield and cowl, Steve & Tony are infiltrating some event in, let's say France, to steal a macguffin but doing it very badly. Cornered in an office or something, Steve can hear security approaching, and his solution is just to push Tony against a wall, turn off comms and give him a half second's warning before going all in on making out and being handsy. And when security busts in, he never really stops being flirty, he just inconspicuously blocks the more recognizable Tony from view while talking with them in *perfect* French about how they haven't seen or heard anything, he's just been here with his shy American friend. And if you really want to blow Tony's mind, his shy American friend who isn't paying for an audience.(NOTE: I only speak English, so italics to designate another language or the actual language with footnote translations are fine.) If this doesn't work, maybe they're resigned to having a fight when backup in the form of stealthy Clint and Nat arrive to take out the guards. But if it works, maybe between the accent, the language and the really good kissing, it left Tony hard and it takes a minute before they can leave and then they're BOTH apologetic to each other about the things they couldn't help doing. But regardless they go back home and everything's fine except...

Subconscious attraction: Something dramatic has happened in the field and all of a sudden Tony can't stop thinking about Steve. He's not actively trying to, he's just got no power over these shower fantasies and dreams that have taken a decidedly pro-'America' stance, and it's starting to affect the way he looks at Steve in real life.

Light bondage/Kink experimentation: This is one of those cases where I'm generally not into established relationships, but I'll make an exception for a new relationship that makes note of its newness in the narrative. Maybe Tony flat out kinks on being restrained but Steve is hesitant about having so much power over him until he realizes just how good he is at getting Tony off and likes that feeling. Maybe Steve likes the challenge of being restrained and trying not to break free while Tony works him over. DNW EXCEPTIONS: While I still don't want spanking/whips/etc., I'm kind of warming up to a headcanon that the serum leaves Steve just a little bit numb and maybe something that starts as an accident one time later turns into experimenting with pain just to feel more. Rope burns, bites, choking breathplay, shallow cutting, rough bottoming. You could also substitute breathplay - or arc reactor play - for bondage as a kink that Tony's into having done and Steve is very reluctant about.

Pairing: Steve Rogers & Tony Stark

Pairing specific note: Some of these *could* also slot into developing Steve/Tony

"I can relate": 2012 Steve is morose about not fitting in with the world; Tony can relate from childhood/early college experiences.

Bad mission/injuries: They (duo or the team) barely escape a mission built on bad intel. From there I could see it going one of two ways: 1. Steve is PISSED and reading SHIELD brass the riot act over comms and it's only when blood starts to spit out onto the controls that they realize how badly he's hurt. After patching him up, Tony watches over Steve while he rests, particularly angsty if Steve got hurt for him. 2. They make it to the jet and Tony hurries to the flight controls to get them out of there. Steve follows behind slowly and once they're in the air says Tony's name once before collapsing, leaving just Tony to both get to a safe space and tend to Steve's wounds as he bleeds out all over the deck.

Haunted pasts: Maybe tower fic where Steve's having nightmares about losing Bucky (or Howard or Peggy, because nightmares don't have to be trufax) or drowning/freezing and Tony is certainly qualified to understand traumatic experiences and offer comfort when they find each other roaming the halls or visiting the kitchen. (Also, I kind of headcanon that Steve HATES the cold and it takes Tony a ridiculously long time and who knows how many Capsicle jokes for Tony to twig to why. Not that Steve's bothered by Tony's jokes, because he's not that delicate of a flower, but still.)

SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDERVERSE (Fic or Art)

A note on art: I'd be happy with any art inspired by any of these prompts, though I only have art-specific semi-useful suggestions for one.I'm not picky on style.

Pairing: Miles Morales & Peter Parker (SM: ItSV)

Training the Spider-Kid: Not gonna lie, I spent a chunk of this movie disappointed that Miles wouldn't get to learn from a very eager to teach Peter. I came around to Peter B., but I still lament what could have been. So, let's explore that in a canon divergence. What's it like for Peter to meet someone who's like him? What are his fears for Miles? Peter has to have a unique perspective when it comes to swinging into danger at such a young age, so I don't think he'd be all "protect the baby!" about Miles, but there has to be some mistakes he'd like to help him avoid.

Pairing: Miles Morales & Peter Parker & Mary Jane Watson (SM: ItSV)

Family life: As Miles gets closer to Peter and MJ, how does he affect their view on starting a family of their own?

Pairing: Miles Morales & Jefferson Davis & Rio Morales (SM: ItSV)
Parental interest: Continuiing from the above, learning to be a Spider-Man should probably take a little more time than it took in the movie, does the time he spends with Peter and MJ have any affect on his home life? Or ignoring the above, what if Miles' new behavior has not gone unnoticed even if his parents can't pin down the Spider-ness.

Pairing: Miles Morales & Spider-Man Noir (SM: ItSV):

Contrast: I was struck by Miles' graffiti and just how colorful it was, especially in contrast to Noir's world of grays. Also, when you factor in that Noir seemed like an older Spider-Man and Miles is one of the youngest, it's just one more way that they're contrasted. Yet, despite that, for fic I really want to see them relate in some way. Something that plays with that idea for art would be nice. The only sort-of idea I had was maybe Miles hands Noir his Rubik's Cube and as he does so, the color just starts to bleed into Noir (or vice versa with Noir's grays bleeding into Miles).I'm not married to that, though. It's just an idea.

STAR TREK TNG (Fic)

Pairing: Joshua Albert/Wesley Crusher

Young love and tragedy: Wes/Josh is such a weird pairing for me, because we never meet Joshua Albert. He's just a member of Wesley's flight squad who's killed when their squad leader convinces them to try a banned maneuver and Wesley's super sad about it (5.19 First Duty). But Wesley is SO sad and even has a sweater of Josh's to return to his mother that I can't help but think they had a little secret romance that no one else knew about and now Wesley is brokenhearted. I'd really just like to see anything about their relationship, whether it's pre-episode or after Josh's death.

Pairing: Wesley Crusher & William Riker

Fighting over the future: So, I really didn't care for the whole "Wesley's a traveler who never really wanted to be in Starfleet, he just thought he should because Daddy Issues" plot thread (7.20 Journey's End). But, continuing from First Duty's consequences of having to repeat a year at the academy, what if he's miserable? Bored. Ostracized by his classmates. Unable to crawl out from under his guilt and his grief and becoming disillusioned with Starfleet. And when he seeks guidance, Riker encourages him to stick it out. He made his bed and once he's done lying in it for a little bit, things will get better. But Wesley doesn't believe it. He doesn't want it anymore. And when he quits, Riker is pissed, because the whole Enterprise crew invested so much into Wesley and how dare he waste their time. I think Riker would eventually come around, because he's not a bad man, but first there would be DRAMA.

[X] HAS FALLEN MOVIES (Fic)

Note: All the prompts kind of fit together because the long story short is I friendship Mike Banning & Ben Asher with a generous side of "used to bang" and "we're all family forever" for dessert.

Pairing: Benjamin Asher/Mike Banning

College years: That very not funny "I was wondering when you were going to come out of the closet" joke in London Has Fallen just makes me want prequel fic where Mike/Ben were maybe not necessarily in love but they were definitely in a BFWB situation in college before Ben met his future wife and started leaning toward his political career and then they just became BFFS 4 LYFE (minus that one little hiccup mid Olympus Has Fallen).

Comfort amid grief: Shortly after Olympus when Mike is retaking his place with the Ashers, almost losing Connor opens up all Ben's grief about Maggie but this time he's clearheaded enough to not blame Mike for it and in a moment of sorrow he finds comfort again with Mike (totally with Mike's wife's blessing because she's awesome and in no way does she want to get in between the Ben and Mike train).

Pairing: Benjamin Asher & Mike Banning

Wingman: Pre- and post-London Has Fallen stories where Mike is trying very hard to get Ben to think about dating again -- and not limiting himself to politically safe women. Maybe it's as his last term is winding down.

2019 Trick or Treat Letter: Break me off a piece that fic idea

Thank you so much for writing for me. I don't know what fandom brought us together, but I certainly look forward to whatever you write. I hope I've given you enough information to feel confident in your fic. Aside from the likes/DNWs/prompts, the another thing I think probably needs said is don't be discouraged if a fandom is low on the list or the prompt you're looking at isn't as detailed as the rest. Sometimes I'm wordy as a crossword puzzle and sometimes I've got a grip on that whole "economy of words" thing.

Some of these prompts are extra long and detailed (looking at you, The Gifted). It's because they're plot bunnies that have been sitting in my head for a while but I know I'm never going to write them. I expect no one to cover everything. There are some big ideas in these requests, and as the post title indicates, I'd be perfectly happy if you picked a piece from any point and broke it off. Feel free to toss some context in the author's note and drop me in the middle of a scene, if it suits you.

Also, while most of my prompts deal with the way characters relate to one another, I'm fine if you just want to focus on one character either in the context of a scenario I've provided or something of your own. I'm not afraid of ODAO if none of the specifics here seem doable. All entries are open to tricks OR treats, unless otherwise specified.

Thank you so much for writing for me. I don't know what fandom brought us together, but I certainly look forward to whatever you write. I hope I've given you enough information to feel confident in your fic. Aside from the likes/DNWs/prompts, the only other thing I think probably needs said is don't be discouraged if a fandom or pairing is low on the list or the prompt you're looking at isn't as detailed as the rest. Honestly, I got to all this late and hit a point where I just wanted to be done. But I promise I'm happy with anything here, and will likely be happy even if you decide to go your own way.

AGENTS OF SHIELD (Treats/Tricks)

COULSON, DAISY: Daisy isn't ready to let Coulson go. And it breaks Coulson's heart to see her sad, even though he knows he's made the right choice. (Nonromantic, please)

DEKE, JEMMA: When they're not busy trying to save the world, Deke's a little disappointed that Fitz doesn't seem to like him. Fortunately, Jemma does. Could be set before or after one or both of them know the truth about their relationship.

FULLER HOUSE
JACKSON, DANNY: Jackson belatedly breaks down after realizing all the father/son teenage milestones he won't get to have with his dad and winds up at Grandpa Danny's. Maybe he kind of sort of started by running away, when he ran into Steve, who was wholly unprepared to deal with that and nudged him to Danny, the man who's always had all the answers for his whole life. (I didn't request Steve, because I'm really more into Jackson and Danny's relationship -- and maybe how Danny felt about Jackson's dad -- and didn't want Steve offerers to feel put out.)

One thing I DON'T WANT though, is for Jackson to melt down in front of a crowd, even if it's a crowd of the most loving people the world has known. I'm all about the 1-on-1 angsting. I'm also still way back on season two, if that helps with context stuff, so try to keep to the season 1, early 2 time period.

STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE
REED, J. HAYES: Reed and Hayes took the first steps to finding common ground after their fight in Harbinger, I think. But then they stepped back, stepped forward a little bit, and then Hayes died. I would like to see better progression for them. Whether it’s in grudging respect or the beginnings of a friendship (friends with benefits? Maybe.) (Treat or Trick if you want Hayes to end as Hayes ended)

STAR TREK: TNG
WESLEY CRUSHER, NICHOLAS LOCARNO, JOSHUA ALBERT: I might be in the minority, but I like Wesley and I really loved the episode where his flight squad is in an accident and Joshua Albert dies, and Enterprise figures out that they were trying a banned maneuver. I love it, and even though we never saw him, I shipped Wesley/Josh pretty instantly. But really? I want you to break Wesley. I want him to despair, and be full of memories of Josh he can’t bring himself to share. I want Locarno to be the charmingly evil bastard who intimidates him with violence as well as the words we saw on screen. I want Picard’s Pet Wesley to be shunned when classes resume and the resulting depression and angst from all of that to be what leads him away from Starfleet, not some random “I realized I was only there because of my dad!” nonsense. Just destroy Wesley Crusher. Lift him back up if you want to. (Trick the fuck out of this one)

MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE
PETER, FLASH, NED: Forced to work together on a class project, Peter uses Tony as an excuse to try to cut out early and Flash calls him out asking what it's like to be the sugar baby to a pervy old man, which sends Peter off the handle because "Mr. Stark's not like that!" Fortunately, Ned's there to help him keep his cool and not, like, web Flash to the ceiling by his ankles or anything.

DNW: Actual Peter/Tony

THE GIFTED
ANDY, MARCOS: Andy made a huge mistake. The Hellfire Club has used and abused him, and now that he's managed to escape and find The Mutant Underground again, they don't trust him. Even his own family is distant. Except for Marcos. Marcos trusts him, because Andy stole his daughter away brought her home to him. (Also, I headcanon her name as Erica, but you do you, Writer)

I kind of ship Andy (aged up a bit)/Marcos, with the idea that they grow closer via the daughter that Andy was left to care for while Lorna and everyone else was off being evil, so if you want to go treat-ish, I wouldn't mind seeing things bloom between them. If you want to go tricky, they can bond over Marcos knowing what it's like to be in with bad people. Edited to add: I also really fucking like the idea of this being set a few years in the future and the Hellfire Club basically using Andy as a stud for Lorna (maybe manipulatin him into believing she loves him) because they think a Legacy baby that's Magneto's grandchild and Fenris's great grandchild would be the most powerful mutant baby of all. Only, when he escapes, he can only take one kid and chooses Erica because it's easier being on the run with a kid than a baby.

I know these are big ideas, but really just drop me in a scene anywhere that strikes your fancy and A/N some context and I'll be pleased as punch.

SAVED BY THE BELL
ZACK, BELDING: Mr. Belding runs into Zack outside of school and can tell something’s wrong. He never would have guessed Zack Morris had a really bad homelife or real problems of any sort, but the proof is staring him in the face, failing to hide behind a cocky grin. I'm pretty open to any sort of problem outside of sexual abuse. I do have a soft spot for deep-in-the-closet Zack, with his general attitude and behavior toward women being severe overcompensation to keep it hidden. Maybe Bad Daddy Morris found out, kicked him out, and Zack's been sneaking around stealthily homeless for a little while. But I DNW Zack/Belding.

ROSEANNE
Note: I would prefer Roseanne not be dead in these. Not because I care about that character, but because I don't want the divided focus or the "extra" relatability.

DJ, BECKY: DJ’s wife dies while deployed. In a haze, he goes to the one person who might be able to relate.

DJ, DAN, JACKIE: DJ is struggling with civilian life and goes to Dan or Jackie. I guess the series had a pretty shitty episode about this topic, but I missed it before it got canceled and all the episodes disappeared.

MACGYVER
MAC, JACK: I want fake-relationship so bad, and what better vehicle for fake relationship than an undercover stakeout (Stakeout II, also a great, underrated movie, btw). Funny thing, is I think Jack would be cool with it and very self aware of the myriad ways they already act like an old married couple and Mac being a little more hesitant. (Not for being homophobic or anything, but just...it's JACK.)

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER
XANDER, GILES: Giles is forced to reassess his opinion of Xander when he finds the boy asleep in the library on a pile of open books, because he can't fail another class and was studying all night. Yep. This fandom around it's Bad Daddy Harris, who we know is mean and abusive, and we can infer doesn't think much of Xander. Really, feel free to run Xander through the ringer on this one, feeling like he's worthless at home and not really all that helpful to the Scoobies, but at least he can pass a class, damn it (if he studies really really hard, all the time, maybe). And I really like the idea that Xander doesn't expect anything from Giles. Especially in those early seasons where it seemed more like Giles just tolerated him for Buffy's sake. But no Xander/Giles, please.

My favorite themes can be summed up in two words: Secrets and Sorrow. And if you give me two more: Solace and Sensuality. I love stories where emotions are honest and raw and the truth comes out and it doesn't much matter to me if it's two people in a relationship dealing with each other or one person trying to sort out their own life, or a combination of the two. Happy -- or happy-ish -- endings are good, but not always required.

I love (but do not require) some sexy fun times and some sexual solace/healing. And I love when people are newly physical with one another -- "first time together" as I've been tagging it. I'm pretty vanilla in my smut preferences. Light bondage and blindfolds is about as far as I like stories to go. But mostly, I need a big emotional aspect to it. If it's just sex for sex's sake, it's not worth it, to me. There's got to be something behind it.

I also don't mind a good fade-to-black, if you want to get physical and have that intention without actually going all the way. And some if not most of these prompts, I wouldn't expect to be sexual at all, so don't worry if that's not your thing!

DNW: BDSM. Incest. Readerfic. First-Person throughout. Bestiality.

Dirty talk. Dirty talk gets it's own section, because this is the point I realized just how strongly I felt about it. Really, I don't care for a lot of dialogue at all during love scenes. Not to say you have to be all "Here is a sex scene and no words shall pass these characters' lips!" about it, but I just don't enjoy explanations of what's going to be done or what someone wants to do to the other, or is it OK to do XYZ. For the first two, do it, don't say it. For the the third...I just generally work under the assumption that consent is implicit, and I don't generally enjoy seeing the flow of a good love scene interrupted with an "Is this okay?" or a "Can I do..." you know?

I've noticed a common trend is to have a character blurt out "oh fuck!" mid bone and really, that's just not sexy to me. That's more for the word than the sentiment. It's just not a word I find sexy. Ditto cock and dick, though I know it can sometimes be hard to write sex without them. Just, use sparingly. I think it's the short word, hard K sound that turns me off. Also, I have a weird aversion to the "Gods!" exclamation for characters that aren't explicitly polytheistic in canon. And I'm pretty sure I don't have any such characters in this letter.

On to the prompts!

AGENTS OF SHIELD (Treats)
HOLDEN RADCLIFFE, FITZ: I actually really liked Radcliffe by the end, and as much as he was able, I think he really did grow to care for Fitz, maybe even actually going so far as to feel fatherly toward him. At the very least, he loves having another Scot in the house. Play with that. And how does Fitz feel about Holden, a man who gives him respect and encouragement and can keep up with him intellectually. Just, never ever let them talk to each other about it, no no no. Pure character study here.

COULSON, DAISY: Coulson was pretty tough on Daisy when she came back into the fold last season. He was obviously and justifiably angry. But you know he was relieved to have her back. Explore. I absolutely DO NOT SHIP Daisy/Coulson and DNW it here.

CRIMINAL MINDS
SPENCER REID: Spencer Reid remembers pretty much everything. But the summer of 199x always felt like something was missing. Like someone had put a dingy filter on a camera lens, washing out the fine details. But when a series of murders takes the BAU to his hometown, the lens comes off and he finds himself facing the same old monster with a brand new club. Basically, I want a fusion with IT. Whether that means Spencer was a member of the an AU version of original Loser’s Club in Derry, Maine or part of a separate band of Vegas Losers who fought their own clown with its own feeding schedule. (Trick)

I went with 199x, because in canon Spencer was 12 when he graduated high school and was born in 1981. So I figure summer of 1993 or 1994 would be good options, either just after high school or just after his first year of college.

This one is so out there with the potential to be long, so I don't realistically expect anyone to take it on. But if you do and just want to just drop me in the middle of a piece of it, that's fine.

SPENCER REID: Nobody on the team knows it, but Spencer is really good at improv. It was a talent his mother insisted he cultivate so she knew he’d always be able to hold his own in conversations that didn’t require the recitation of memorized facts, figures and details. So when the Comedy Club Killer strikes, the team gets quite the surprise -- and a few unexpected laughs -- when Spence goes undercover with a local troupe preparing for their big show. This was kind of inspired by Whose Line Is It Anyway and Drew Carey's Improv-aganza. (Treat)

FULLER HOUSE
STEVE HALE, MATT HARMON: They both love DJ, and DJ loves both of them. So for her sake, Steve and Matt put aside their differences and form a triad. They just never really expected to fall for each other, too. (Treat) (And, weeks after writing this letter, I've finally started watching season two...so, this would obviously have to ignore "Matt and Steve: BFFs4EVA" -- she says mid premiere, now watch that friendship be over by the end credits.)

STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE
REED, PORTHOS: Reed is left to watch over Porthos while everyone else is planetside. Spooky things happen and it's up to Reed and Porthos to figure out what's what. (Trick, unless you really REALLY want to make it a treat.)

TRIP, T’POL: Here’s the thing I noticed about Trip and T’Pol: They NEVER really just got to be. They were ALWAYS dancing around each other, but reacting like they’d actually had something more than T’Pol smashing her lips into Trip’s face a few times and dropping all her clothes for “sexual experimentation” once. I want to see them caring for one another. Being kind, gentle and intentional -- or at least honest! -- in their interactions and thoughts about each other. Ideally, this would be set during or after T'Pol's Trellium-D addiction, so she's got all those feelings and emotions right near the surface. (Treat)

SHRAN: One of the grosser things Enterprise did in its travesty of a finale was Jhamel/Shran. His interactions seemed much more fatherly toward her in The Aenar, so I’d like to see THAT relationship continue, maybe with Shran falling for her mother and starting a family that way. (Treat)

REED, J. HAYES: Reed and Hayes took the first steps to finding common ground after their fight in Harbinger, I think. But then they stepped back, stepped forward a little bit, and then Hayes died. I would like to see better progression for them. Whether it’s in grudging respect or the beginnings of a friendship (friends with benefits? Maybe.) (Treat or Trick if you want Hayes to end as Hayes ended)

STAR TREK: TNG
WESLEY CRUSHER, NICHOLAS LOCARNO, JOSHUA ALBERT: I might be in the minority, but I like Wesley and I really loved the episode where his flight squad is in an accident and Joshua Albert dies, and Enterprise figures out that they were trying a banned maneuver. I love it, and even though we never saw him, I shipped Wesley/Josh pretty instantly. But really? I want you to break Wesley. I want him to despair, and be full of memories of Josh he can’t bring himself to share. I want Locarno to be the charmingly evil bastard who intimidates him with violence as well as the words we saw on screen. I want Picard’s Pet Wesley to be shunned when classes resume and the resulting depression and angst from all of that to be what leads him away from Starfleet, not some random “I realized I was only there because of my dad!” nonsense. Just destroy Wesley Crusher. Lift him back up if you want to. (Trick the fuck out of this one)

X-MEN (ALTERNATE TIMELINE MOVIES)
ERIK LENSHERR, PETER MAXIMOFF: Erik finally finds out Peter is his son, and it’s not the explosion anybody expected. Nor is it sappy and weepy. A strained calm that barely contains his anger at being kept in the dark, but it does, because how can Erik be furious when he has family? You decide the circumstances of the reveal. (Trick or treat)

I was thinking about doing something original for National Novel Writing Month, but while I was smack in the middle of plotting that out...I got hit with the urge to expand my Genderqueer Jenny "Castle" universe. I certainly don't have a 50,000-word plot in mind for that, though.

I just added nearly 800 more words to the Rysposito fic! Granted, some of them were an unplanned foray into Javier's childhood heartbreak and racist, elitest classmates, but I think it works.

A few more paragraphs will finish this scene, and then it's just breakfast, an honest conversation and one more love scene, and the first draft is done.

THIS WILL HAPPEN WITHIN THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS!

And then I'll do quick edit, maybe try to find some a beta or two for a possible third draft, but either way, this fic is getting posted before season six premieres (even though it's set just after the season five premiere).

I've got 18 days (and three minutes).

Dueling fic

I'm so close to being done with the porny Ryan/Esposito Castle fic, but all of a sudden I've been consumed with making Percy Weasley cry. I don't even have any stories going on where he's present! Just Wall of the Missing, which, if you didn't know, has grown over on FFN, only to be left unupdated while I work on the Castle fic. I haven't put any of the other chapters here or on Ao3 yet, because I kind of consider FFN my public beta for when I need some reassurance midway through. And so once it's all done there and I'm happy with it, I'll move it to these other places. (Rysposito fic is too porny to put chapters over there, which is why it's only in my head and hard drive, which is not so good for the reassurance.)
